>>11428370Oh. Oh sweetie... No. No, that's not happening.
>>11428426Thereโs more of a shot of it happening with playmates than anywhere else
>>11428370I can only pray the previous collab bombing ensures retailers wouldn't touch these with a Megazord sized pole.
>>11428370I just want a fucking Gravezord.
>>11428493if retailers were smart than they wouldn't be buying PR at all
>>11428314 (OP)Boy these suck fucking balls.
>>11428534Power Rangers had over two decades of continuous success at retail before collector figures and the 2017 movie bombed. Playmates is doing the smart thing by going back to what worked for over twenty years, cheap figures for kids.
Yeah, yeah, lets see the Zords.
>>11428370the litmus test will be whether or not they make the kaiju rangers.
>>11428314 (OP)>All the males are pinheads
That Pink Ranger has a vibrant color
>>11428637The Zords are Playmates' biggest misstep imo. Megazord sets were a tried and true seller from Bandai. Hasbro tried to reinvent the wheel and sell more expensive Zords individually for Beast Morphers and Dino Charge. Now Playmates is doing the same thing for MMPR instead of what worked so well for Bandai for all those years.
Shockingly considering how everything else is mediocre at best, the weapons like the gun and Dragon Dagger look great.
>>11428314 (OP)>those hip jointshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWtpNPZ4tb4
>>11428717Yeah this really is a bad choice, it's easier to 1 slightly more expensive zordset to parents than telling them to get 5 different ones, it only really works for Transformers because tf fans are rabid about finishing their team and will pay anything for it
>>11428321I do and I just kept thinking "it's just gonna be mmpr wank and nothing else" so I guess I was right
>>11428717I'd only get some of these if the Dragonzord comes out.
>>11428871Who said anything about "scale"?
If this gets toyline can make a cheaper Dragonzord that's also decently sized and transformable then I'm good.
>>11428314 (OP)I don't collect PR figures but I'm legit sorry for fans who have to put up with this shit. One would have thought the Lightning Collection was mediocre but this is way worse. Why even buy the license if you're going to release garbage that is way worse than the last line?
>>11428882This is actually more in-line with that BoA used to do and it was something that worked well for them (cheap "mediocre" figures). Hasbro tried too hard to lean on the collector's aspect and it bit them.
>>11428882Don't cry for me Argentina, this is what I've wanted since Bandai lost the license. Hasbro went in the complete wrong direction with the franchise, catering to 30+ year olds. Bandai was doing some of that with their Legacy products, but their kid lines were always their main focus. The 6.5" collector Legacy figures were an abject failure, Lightning Collection was a failure, Super7 Ultimates were a failure, Figuarts were a failure. Power Rangers works better as cheap kid toys. Sucks that people can't appreciate that sort of thing anymore, but give me a 5 inch $10 figure over a 6 inch $25+ figure any day. I don't need hyper articulation, 21 points is plenty. Scaling with dozens of old 5" monsters which will never get new action figures is a much bigger win for me than added articulation or more realistic sculpts. They're toys not statues, they're meant to be fun.
>>11428717except for the chogokin every single megazord is somehow worse than the original toy
>>11428717Will these at least have more articulation this time?
>>11428882>One would have thought the Lightning Collection was mediocre but this is way worse.Reignition is not comparable to Lightning Collection in any way. It is not an adult collector line. If you're going to compare them to anything, compare them to Bandai's $10 Action Heroes.
The only other direct comparison that can be made until White (if Reignition makes it to season 2). Bandai did do the other MMPRs in this scale/style, but they were higher priced figures allowing for better painted weapons.
>>11429229>>11429239Honestly, aside from the painted weapons and Red's helmet looking a bit better on the Playmates, I think the Bandai ones from over a decade ago are better.
>>11429253There's pros and cons on both sides. From a value perspective, you're getting more from Playmates if these Reignition figures are under $14. Painted weapons, an extra weapon (two in Green's case), a holster, and 4 extra points of articulation. The sculpts of the Playmates figures are more realistic compared to Bandai's more stylized Action Heroes, but I think the Action Heroes have their own charm.
My biggest issue with the Reignition figures are the legs. I don't know why Playmates continues using that type of hip articulation, but it instantly knocks at least a point off the figures. The knees are also oddly done. It almost looks like they're wearing shorts. I did a shop of what the Reignition figures could look like with some extra paint and reworked legs. I think it makes a huge difference.
>>11428321>>11428322It's a race to the bottom to see who can be the cheapest cheapskate ever.
which, in fairness, is what Power Rangers was built on. Most of the enduring 90s classics were saying "what if we put more money into this than usual, and made it up in merch and syndication"
but saban was more trying to see how little money you can get away with spending, and how little you can pay your actors before they quit. gotta say, both tactics work, but i'd rather be the guy behind the expensive show.
>>11428768>it only really works for Transformers because tf fans are rabid about finishing their team and will pay anything for itIt works for Transformers because their combiners are still Transformers in their own right. I don't hate these Zords, I'd certainly choose them over that ZAP trash in a heartbeat, but they just don't do enough to justify being sold separately. If you give a kid just one of them the play value is very poor.
The Imaginext Zords didn't combine, but each one included an articulated figure and had multiple play features which made them fun for kids on their own. I bought them to have something my niece could play with when she came over (was about 3 at the time) and she played with those things for hours at a time. It also helped that a large scale Goldar the Zords could interact with was relased along side them.
Playmates' Zords don't offer that same level of play. If you don't have the entire set to create the Megazord, I just don't see kids having much fun with them. And if that's the case, they should have just been sold as a complete set in the first place.
>>11429473Makes me wonder if they'll pull the same with the Season 2 zords. Red Dragon and White Tigerzord I understand; they're good stand-alone toys. The other 4? Not so much.
>>11429517Very few do work as individual toys. The main draw is the various combinations you can make. Short of really developing a legacy line that makes zord builder ports work or making micro-scale pilots and playsets selling them separate is kind of not going to work.
>>11429550Yeah, which is why BoA sold them as a set unless the series had something like a lot of auxiliary mecha. Those were sold separately.
If PlayMates hopes to increase playability of the zords, they should give the zords universal points. that way people can swap parts with no issues and create their own scenarios when they play.
>>11429670Bandai never had faith in auxiliary Zords being sold separately until Samurai, and even then they packed in figures which could peg onto them so they could double as vehicles. They continued treating the auxiliary Zords as vehicles in Megaforce, before dropping that gimmick and actually selling auxiliary Zords as auxiliary Zords in Super Megaforce and Dino Charge. Though each zord from those seasons included a Ranger Key or Dino Charger, so Bandai still had some extra incentive to buy them packed in. In Ninja Steel they went back to how they originally sold auxiliary Zords in Wild Force, packed as Megazord sets which forced you to buy shit you already had. And like Wild Force, we didn't end up getting all of them.
>>11428717imagine asking your mom for a zord and you get stuck with the fucking pterodactyl which is just a flat slab that does nothing
>>11429670>>11429945Damn. Power rangers is dead.
>>11429973It's got projectile launching cannons and the mini Ranger figures. I think the Mastodon would be the worst to get as it truly does nothing, and only.
comes with a sword that is useless unless you have the complete Megazord.
>>11429988>It's got projectile launching cannonsI mean I guess thats something but it's still just a slab which makes it a terrible standalone toy
> I think the Mastodon would be the worst to get as it truly does nothingit will at least have some heft to it, it's a Mastodon which kids can be all it stomps around with or just silly elephant things, and it has a sword, which yeah its useless for the mastodon but its a sword.
>the mini Ranger figuresswallowed or lost.
Eitherway these do not have a reason to be standalone, they were not designed to be standalone they should just have dropped their own gimmicks to make it cheaper and been a giftset
Or if they really wanted standalone releases do something like this
>>11429945 because then they can actually get a proper figure with it
>>11430054They should have at least done an articulated mini figure with a cockpit for it like Bandai did with their non-transforming Zords.
>>11430069you know what yeah that's at least something, but in the end it really just shows the T-Rex is the only one that really justifies itself being sold alone, and I guess the Dragonzord.
>>11429977It really is. Nobody is going to buy the Playmates figures. Kids sure aren't, and collectors won't. Only the whaliest of whales that have to own everything will grab this Ollies filler crap.

>>11430337It's Playmates. That shit will be on clearance by Christmas. They can't get their shit figured out for nothing.
Mite buy the megzord. Pretty chonky dude, looks about 15-16 inches like vtron was
>>11430339They've been putting out Ninja Turtles consistently for almost 40 years. They clearly do well.
>>11430372You are adorably naรฏve.
>>11430375>cherry pick figures from a horrible show nobody likedOkay...
So 5 inch bros... provided no unforeseen catastrophe occurs resulting in all the Reignition Ritas being lost at sea, and this one ACTUALLY gets released, how do you think we fared?
>>11430425It's playmates, so you did horribly. I pity anyone that thinks this is good.
>>11430480Thank God it's not jada
>>11429988Will this Megazord have any better articulation than the old ones?
>>11430530Hmmm, Playmates and adding more articulation? Hahahaahahahaha, no.
>>11430530Looking a bit closer, it seems to have some shoulder articulation so there's that.
>>11430480>you did horribly>Playmates figure is the only one with elbow articulation
>>11430559Elbows don't make a figure good
>>11430587A figure with elbow articulation is better than a figure without elbow articulation.
>>11430425I'd say she's mostly an upgrade from the 2017 figure, which was oddly skinny, whereas the Reignition gets the poofiness of the dress correct. Reignition also has proper elbow articulation, and she looks to have legs, whereas the 2017 was a flat bottom and only had bicep swivels. Reignition's cone boobs don't stick out as far as they should, and the face sculpt doesn't look as good as the 2017 to me, though I feel like 2017's face is either too small or the headdress is too big. Reignition's head looks better proportioned to me. 2017's under chin straps being one molded blob versus actual straps on the Reignition is inferior. Paint seems comparable, each has paint in a couple areas the other lacks. The paint of the staff is better on the Reignition, though I like the Sculpt of 2017's staff better as the Reignition staff is overly thick.
The 1994 still looks like the best of the lot to me though, especially if she would end up having all the paint on the prototype.
>>11428370Jesus, these are horrific and I wish youโd stop posting them
>>11430669Why do you hate fun?
>>11428370Why would Playmates ever...ever...do those? That'd require new molds.
>>11430686Cuz they have TMNT and Power Rangers now.
And Godzilla.
>>11430689God I hate how ugly and inconsistent these designs are.
>>11430689So what? You think Playmates is smart? Bitch please.
I hope the season 1 toys do well enough to get them to make Season 2 and 3 toys. I'd like to see their take on the zords from those seasons, especially the season 3 zords.
>>11430686>That'd require new moldsLook at all the unique molds they turn out for turtle villains. If anyone is going the distance with power rangers itโs playmates.
>>11430844Iโm hopeful for the whole of the zordon era.
>>11430870Yeah, stuff like Astro Megazord or even a new Mega Winger would be great.
>>11430844I was thinking about how this line is structured. It seems a two wave approach would cover a season, similar to how Bandai did things. We've got a basic figure assortment of 9 (Auto-Morphin Rangers, Rita, Goldar, and Putty Patroller), Dinozords, Morpher, Blade Blaster, and Cycles in wave 1. The non-transforming Rangers also seem to be part of wave 1, but with more collector friendly packaging for some reason.
Wave 2 we have the Dragon Dagger, Squatt, Baboo, and King Sphinx, along with other miscellaneous things like mini figures, plushies, and 8" Rangers. I imagine we would get the Dragonzord here, maybe Titanus. What's interesting is there are no clear choices for new heroic basic figures for wave 2. They will have already blown their wad with the non-transforming Rangers, so are Squatt, Baboo, and King Sphinx going to be the only new 5" figures in wave 2? That seems unlikely. Could they actually do fully civilian Rangers in wave 2? There aren't many options. For vehicles maybe we could get the Rad Bug here?
Wave 3 you move to season 2. Core Thunderzords. You can release Automorphins of White Ranger, and Rocky/Aisha/Adam versions of Red/Yellow/Black. That's only four new good guy figures though. Could this be where Bulk and Skull slot in? Maybe an Automorphin Incredible Bulkster and Super Skull? For villains Zedd, Z Putty, and Pirantis Head seem like the most sensible choices to ring in the second second. There's Saba for role play, and I guess you can start to release the Power Weapons here. Maybe spread them out over the remaining MMPR waves. They can do some Thunderbikes for vehicles I suppose.
Wave 4 you finish season 2 with Tigerzord, maybe Tor, MAYBE Serpentera. Finish Thunder Bikes, a couple more Power Weapons. For villains my wishful thinking would be Finster, Scorpina, and a monster of the day (preferably from Dairanger). Scorpina may be a stretch since she only appears in two season 2 episodes (and the first appearance is very brief), but she does play a major role in "Goldar's Vice Versa", and is essentially the monster of the day for the episode, so I think that warrants including her here. For good guy figures... I guess if they did fully civilian Rangers in wave two they could do Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and White Tommy here, and if they did an Automorphin Bulkster and Super Skull in wave 3, I suppose they could do normal versions here. There's just not much else to work with figure wise for good guys. I guess they could also do Wild West Rangers...
Wave 5 things get easier in the figure department. With season 3 you can do the Ninja Rangers (Auto-Morphin?). For villains Rito, Tenga Warrior, and a monster of the day. Vampirus already got a 5" figure from Bandai, so I'd hope Playmates does something completely new like Crabby Cabbie. Add Ninja Zords, a large scale Ninjor, a new Morpher with Nina Coins, and three Shark Cycles.
Wave 6 you can do Metallic Armor Rangers, which would be Kat's introduction to the line. For villains, Master Vile and a monster of the day (Blue Globber would make a lot of sense). I only included two villains because if we're assuming each wave is capped at 9 figures, I'd use that final slot here for a 5" Ninjor. Round things out with the Shogun Zords, the remaining Shark Cycles, and any remaining Power Weapons.
Wave 7 probably wouldn't happen, but there's enough in the Alien Ranger saga to support a wave. For the basic figure wave there's the 5 Alien Rangers, Hydro Hog, and I could see them doing three kid Ranger two-packs similar to how they do their kid turtles to round things out. There's the Battle Borgs for Zords, the Alien Ranger sword and sidearm for roleplay. No vehicles come to mind though.
>>11430844It would be cool to see them do the Shogunzords, which Bandai never got to remake as Legacy releases due to the license being lost. I think the Thunderzords will be more exciting overall since Tigerzord and Red dragon thunderzord work so well as standalone pieces.
>>11430871As much as I'd want them to do more outside of MMPR, even the ZAP Astro Megazord can't sell at under $100, going as low as $75. I know it's a mess of QC issues, but if that doesn't sell at that price I doubt it'll encourage a new one anytime soon.
>>11430870Power Rangers isn't TMNT. and Playmates fucked up TMNT.
>>11428584Collector MMPR figures sell very well. The Figuarts did well, Shodo, ThreeA, even Mezco seems to be selling well. The Chogokin Daizyujin set has been a great seller overall.
Bandai US's Legacy figures, Lightning collection, Super 7 aren't actual collector's figures by modern standards. They may advertise themselves as such, but they're not.
>>11431285None of the successful things you mentiond were sold at retail. Power Ranger collector figures don't work at retail, as we've seen numerous times now. Playmates is perfect for a retail line because cheap kid figures are what has been proven to work at retail. Higher end stuff can still exist online by other companies if it sells well enough to warrant it. Super7 clearly doesn't, all their MMPR Ultimates get marked down considerably. I'm surprised Hasbro wouldn't try to keep the Lightning Collection going as a Pulse exclusive thing to at least finish the incomplete teams they started. Tooling would be very little, mostly just heads and weapons.
>>11431278Playmates didn't secure the MMPR license to release one wave of figures and call it a day. They've said they have plans for the entirety of MMPR. I'm just hypothesizing how it could play out based on what we know.
>>11431330>Playmates didn't secure the MMPR license to release one wave of figures and call it a day. You'd be surprised. This line is DOA.
>>11431550How about you just let things happen instead of playing Nostradamus and dooming the line?
>>11428717I guess these are huge like the classic Voltron they've re-released like six times now, so that's one thing it has going for it.
>>11430689That's cringe as hell, thanks. Kaijufags add a whole new level of cringe to everything they touch.
>>11431550The full season 1 MMPR team hasn't been available at retail in a single case assortmemt since 2010. It was possible to get the full season 1 MMPR team in 2014 at retail in one fell swoop, but four of them were Toys R Us exclusives, and you would have had to be extremely lucky, as different figures were released in different assortments at different times. Don't underestimate the draw of having the full team easily available at the same time, and for a very reasonable price. Having Rita, Goldar, and Putties concurrently available sweetens the pot further. This is the first time in 15 years a respectable MMPR collection can be had without jumping through hoops.
>>11431795Why does the stock photos and footage almost always have the shoulders folded down?
>>11428370>>11430689>This line will get cancelled in two years and we'll never get in space tmnt figures
>>11431793>>11431795Whoa. Those are big Zords.
>>11431816Silly anon, Next Mutation never happened.
>>11431793>>11431795Does the back hint at a Dragonzord release?
>>11431793Good lord that looks terrible.
>>11431323>Playmates is perfect for a retail lineBy flooding the pegs with actual garbage that won't see and will end up at Ollie's just like their Mutant Mayhem toys?
>>11431793The size is a negative for me. If I want big I want REALLY big, like 2 feet tall Shogun Warrior size. A weird inbetween size that scales with nothing but their own Voltron (which I also had no interest in) does nothing for me. I'd prefer it just be in the standard Megazord size.
>>11431880What does the Lightning Collection have to do with Playmates?
>>11431550Doubtful, MMPR is like the G1 Transformers of its brand, everyone shows up for it, it gets the most buying power holds the most nostalgia, everything after the zordon era is where shit doesnโt sell, hasbro found that out the hard way. A full suite of all 6 rangers and 4 villains out at once and under 12 dollars msrp? Easy temptation for the casual mmpr fan.
>>11431880Why are you butthurt there is no company making six inch action figures?
>>11431964>A full suite of all 6 rangers and 4 villains out at once and under 12 dollars msrp? Easy temptation for the casual mmpr fanAnd itโs an easy repeatable formula for all the other teams. Very vocal minority of retards that canโt accept these are meant to be toys ya know like what we all grew up playing with instead of overpriced ADulT coLlEcTabLeS. Iโm stoked for this shit.
Reminder this is the breed of people complaining about power rangers being toys again
>Instead of loaning the license to Bandai, Hasbro chooses the shitiest toy company on the planet as a last-ditch effort to keep the franchise relevant.
Did someone at Bandai piss in someone at Hasbro's cereal? Or are they still pissed at Hasbro telling them and Toei to eat shit?
>>11428717Can you imagine not being able to find some zords and thus never being able to make the megazord? top kek
>>11429312>From a value perspective, you're getting more from Playmates if these Reignition figures are under $14.The figures can't pose for shit, they aren't even worth 14 bucks. They compete against figures from the 90s. They're even worse than current Black Series has become in posability and thus destined for Ollie's. These truly are kids toys and not collectibles.
>>11429180This guy gets it
>>11429180>Super7 Ultimates were a failure, Figuarts were a failure. Power Rangers works better as cheap kid toys.Yeah no
>>11430689How the fuck did they mess ups the execution this bad? So many sentai teams are based off animals and mythical beasts, that doesn't mean they need all this extra shit hanging off of their suit.
>>11430054I agree with your points about them not being great stand alone toys, but your argument against the Pink Pterodactyl Zord being a brick but the Mastodon being stompy is flawed. The Pterodactyl is no more a slab than a Starscream. She's got a badass jet that fly around and blasts stuff. It arguably the coolest Zord, from a 'what it does' standpoint ignoring the 'eww girls gross - pink bad' aspect.
A T-Rex is way cooler than a Pterodactyl, but if you're playing with it, you're treating it like a jet fighter. And thats pretty fun. The fact it also comes with the tiny rangers pushes this up to being one of the ones I'd want most if I was a kid. But honestly, all of them are fun. The problem is they have nothing to interact with or fight.
>>11431973Price and availability have been the two factors I believe doom post-MMPR teams in recent years. Do people like Wild Force enough to spend $20+ per figure, and for one Ranger to be trickled out at a time at random with no end in sight or any guarantee the team will ever be completed at all? Now imagine if you did care enough to go in on the team, only for the line to be canceled after only having given you 2/6 Rangers and a Putrid.
Zeo is a very popular team, arguably the most popular post-MMPR, and it was fortunate enough to get a full team release in the Lightning Collection, but look at the hoops you had to jump through to get them. Gold Ranger initially released in a con exclusive two-pack. Then Blue released in a standard wave 8 months later. Then a standard release Gold 4 months later. Red 3 months later. Green 5 months later. Yellow 10 months later. Finally, Zeo Pink in a store exclusive two-pack with MMPR Pink a month later. A Pulse exclusive Cog two-pack was released between Green and Yellow, and a solo Cog was released in a standard wave a few months after Pink. The solo Cog was the only way to get Rocky's personal weapon. All-in, it took over two and a half years to complete the full team after the first release, and they poorly matched each other, having inconsistent paint apps. Many people didn't become interested until the full team had been announced, and by that point at least Blue's aftermarket price got quite high.
Now imagine Playmates releasing the full Zeo team in one fell swoop with a Mondo, Gasket and Archerina in the same assortment for $12 a piece. All the Rangers have their personal weapons, all their paint apps match each other. Say what you will about the quality of the Playmates figures, but those are gonna be much more likely to sell.
>>11432144It also complicates things for Playmates. How do you pack out the assortment? Do you pack them equally? If so, the Tyrannosaurus is gonna sell first, and then people are less inclined to buy the others when there are no more T-Rexs available. If you pack more T-Rexs, you end up with a bunch of people with a T-Rex who can't complete their Megazord because there are not enough of the other Zords available to do so. It just doesn't work well.
>>11432147>These $10 figures truly are kids toys and not collectibles.Wow Einstein, you figured that out all on your own?
>>11432151bold of you to assume they'd see the sentai stuff as a template. So many Power ranger redesigns and American original designs seek to improve what they see as the "lesser" or "cheap" JP originals.
The 1995 American movie set a bad precedence where Western fans see the Sentai stuff as being not fully realized as to what the designs /could/ be, which is to say, they need more armor and padding and lines and detail.
>>11432151I don't know, it kinda works.
>>11432419For 10 bucks they dont look much worse than the old bandai figures. The only unsightly aspect of the playmates stuff are those hips. Otherwise they look alot better than the hasbro kiddie rangers.
>>11432259I've complained about that same design trend in mecha and capeshit for the last decade. I really do wonder when we'll finally kill the MCU/late 2000's tacticool pattern meme. Im tired of sneaker and basketball textured suits covered in recolored circuit board patterns.
>>11432174I really think they should have packed the pteradactyl with one of the other zords. It's the least impressive of the bunch and exists as a glorified accessory to the others. Atleast the Mastodon, Triceratops, and Smilodon can be played with on their own. The dactyl barely looks the part of one and doesnt have any fun play features of its own to merit an individual release.
>>11431974We're all aware. I still insist they should have made an animated film or some sort of spin off with younger rangers to capture Gen A.
>>11431974The last time I saw them being annoyed they had just graduated college, were engaged to a woman, and weren't a tranny
What happened
>>11432419Not bad. Not bad at all!
The Zords being kinda chunky is nice too!
>>11432502Listen, I get that you're a retard, but I'm not being respectful by using "them" when I also called them a tranny.
>>11432491To not trigger the spaz, HE broke up with the woman he was engaged with and started dressing as a woman to become that
>>11432491>engaged to a womanUnless that "woman" had a penis or was 400 pounds, I'm gonna call bullshit on that.
But back on topic, these hips are fucking horrendous. Single handedly ruins any good thing about the figures.
>>11432174>>11432477Every other zord that's not Red or the Sixth ranger needs to be done in a bundle. Unless it's a support style zord from WildForce onward. Bandai understood that 31 years ago.
>>11432525Looks fine on all the other rangers
>>11432517He didn't break up with her, he came out as trans last year and after a week she decided to break up with him and then he started sadposting about it on twitter. People kept bringing her up in his Q&A thing but he recently said he's dating another mtf troon.
>>11432535Because the angle and their poses are hiding it better. Trini is the only one with a leg going backwards.
>>11432419>No ankle rockers and that weird-ass pin setup on the hipsyikes
they really are entirely banking on the kid audience for a show that is from 1993
>>11432544What were you expecting for a $10-$14 figure?
They seem to have as much articulation as BoAโs old Action Hero line.
>>11432419Oh my God, these are actually horrible. Who can defend these?
>>11432547They have 4 more POA than Bandai's Action Heroes, but I would trade those extra POA for hips that aren't retarded in a heartbeat. Of all the ways you can engineer hip articulation, and THAT'S what you choose?
>>11432537how do you people have the energy to care and remember about fucking troons on twitter?
>>11432552I followed just to keep up to date with whatever lightning leaks came out, now I just see his tweets on my feed and it's become a source of amusement whenever they show up.
>>11432547Bandai's offerings at a similar scale lack accessories, but look way better.
>>11432556Then buy the Dragonball figures.
>>11432001Hasbro is partners with Takara Tomy who is a major competitor against Bandai.
>>11432552I don't know how poorly your brain works, but even though I don't even know who this
>>11431974 is, if someone asks
>>11432491 this I'll know the answer is
>>11432537 this for at least the next five years, and you know what? I'll never actually think about them again until the second someone posts their picture, and then I'll forget about them like five minutes later, but still retain that information.
It's called not being a retard
>>11432563Thatโs cool for you, Iโm gonna go make dinner for my family now.
>>11432571Careful you don't forget them in twenty minutes
>>11432547Did I say I wanted a 10-14 dollar figure?
>>11432599then this line was never meant for you.
>>11432599People weren't buying $20+ figures so this is what you get. Take it or leave it.
>>11432675Obviously leaving it.
>>11432419>>11432540Why could they never get the green right on the Green Ranger? This is exactly the same issue. I have whenever an American company tries to do Voltron and they can never get the shade of green right for the green lion.
>>11432770In power rangers case the suit is inconsistent in the footage so being obsessed with the exact shad is retard.
>>11432770I don't think a single MMPR Green from any company has gotten it right since the Figuarts. Bandai America was getting it right in 2010, and in their Super Legends prior to that, so I don't know why they changed it in their later figures.
Next, and supposedly final DX Robo Universe.
This is why you don't buy american figures although the prices are nice compared to LC, the best bang for your buck is SHODO full stop. The only line where Bandai JP will do full teams.
>>11432419They give me Bandai 2010 vibes.
>>11432797That's all well and good, but Rangers without villains are worthless to me, and the only villains Shodo Super have made are the Psycho Rangers, Zen Aku, and the Dairanger footsoldiers which never appeared in America. MMPR can draw villains from 2010 and ReAction but most other seasons will be shut out of luck.
>>11431793The fucking massive size speaks to me. I'd be up for Thunder Megazord at this scale, and Shogun Megazord especially would be awesome. I loved how massive that one felt in the SNES fighting game.
>>11432419Definitely a step down in terms of articulation in looks but hell, for 10 dollars, those are great toys for kids
>>11432525Why does she look like a goddamn horse?
>>11431793>>11431795>4+Good. This is unironically how you create more power ranger fans.
>>11432969Honestly? It's gonna need jack black saying chicken jockey to save the franchise
>>11432540How small is his head to fit in that helmet?
>>11432538Why is his sword so short
>>11432986>CHUNKY CHICKEN JOCKEY
>>11432525Why does the yellow ranger have a wider crotch than the male rangers? Design team must be full of mongoloids desu
>>11433314Because men and women have different bodies "Jane".
>>11433399You do realize the yellow ranger in Zyuranger is a guy right?
>>11433424PRfags don't care
>>11433424You do realize that's not a Zyuranger toy right?
That just reminded me that this line will most likely not have the Dairangers/Squadron suits unlesd they somehow do Super Megaforce
>>11433444>this line will most likely not have the Dairangers/Squadron suitsNor should it.
>>11433448I always wanted to see those suits in Action Hero-like form and proportions. Just a dumb thought
>>11433442Power Rangers used footage from Zyuranger
>>11433529And? It's a woman in Power Rangers, so the figures will have a woman's body. Also, any time the Yellow Ranger appeared in US footage it was a woman in the suit, and MMPR continued for 72 episodes after they ran out of Japanese footage of the Zyu suits, so more episodes feature a woman in the Yellow Ranger suit than a man. Even the Japanese made figuarts specifically made a female Yellow Ranger body for the US market, so you're delusional if you thought Playmates would give their MMPR Yellow a man's body.
>>11433559That would also mean he thought Playmates would research the IP. Playmates doesn't care.
>>11430678I hate ugly, non-show canon designs
>>11434038Anything not designed by Plex is trash. Case in point...
>>11434207What was Hasbro thinking with these suits?
Built-in suit boobs aside, the MMPR lightning bolts all over the placeโฆwhy?
Complete with frankensteining the Ryusoulger helmetsโฆhorrible
>>11433314because giving womyn figures the same v-cut crotch design as the males would over sexualize the figure. they had to make it look like a diaper to control the boys urges and make moms happy when they pass by it in the toy aisles.
>>11434275>We need to make new suits to sell new action figures for this 10 episode season, in which the new suits won't be introduced until episode 3>Helmets are too hard to make, so fuck it, we'll just repaint the Ryusoulger ones>Let's put a bunch of lightning bolts on them because we can>Also, we need more exaggerated muscles and tits because that's what American kids like>3 months later>The suits are finished? Well we changed our mind, we're not gonna make figures of them.
>>11434296Oh yeah, not only those points.
>letโs give ALL of them the Dragon Shield but redesign it a little! Not even figures of them. At that point, Hasbro gave up on the toyline. ZAP Astro Megazord was a nice attempt at zords but the line died before a Delta Megazord could be made to combine with it. Sad
>>11434207>>11434296>>11434310Since the powers came from the Morphin Master staff and thus were technically Morphin Master Rangers, they should've just had all had respective color versions of the Ghost Ranger, or whatever the revived Zayto's white-and-red suit was called. That was honestly better than the Cosmic Fury suits.
>>11434310>Not even figures of them. At that point, Hasbro gave up on the toyline.Pretty wild that Power Rangers could be owned by a toy company who doesn't understand the point of the show is to sell toys. Why did they even bother making Cosmic Fury in the first place if the toyline was going to amount to THREE releases, one of which was an Amazon exclusive? They had to have lost a ton of money on CF.
>>11434207While these suits are terrible, I do appreciate how they leant towards minimalism rather than 2017's maximalizism. Also, RyusoulBlack with a robot arm is bretty cool
>>11434207I just wanted poseable Kyuranger figures god fucking dammit.
>>11434416 They didn't make a full toyline because they were planning on cutting Cosmic Fury short in favor of resting the brand and building a reboot of MMPR. Though rumor has it the Disney show isn't even MMPR its just something new and unique. I don't really understand why Power Rangers is so hard for modern producers to grasp. Its like there's this disconnect for everything past RPM. Even if some of the Disney seasons weren't good, they at least felt like solid attempts at making a real television show. Everything from Samurai onward there is this weird disconnect.
>>11434593>Kyuranger figuresIt's truly crazy how Bandai America played a large role in their design to make them more appealing to western audiences, only for Hasbro to take the license from them before they have a chance to use them, and then Hasbro opts to make their own suits and only use the Zord footage.
>>11434612Hasbro knew better
>>11434663on how to kill PR again? Absolutely.
>>11434416Not even an obvious Lord Zedd / Blue MMPR Ranger two pack? Jesus, Hasbro.
>>11434612It really hurts. I love those suits. I hope they get a Shodo set soon. Also I think Bandai would have made good on the pilot feature of the Kyuranger mechs had they made toys for the show. Probably not for the 5 inch line, but probably smaller pack-in figures. I could see them having turned Orion into a massive playset like they did the one Ninnin mech.
>>11435970The Lion Fire Zord was a huge bomb they couldn't even give away in Toys R Us' dying days, so there definitely would have been no more big playsets from Bandai had they kept the license.
>>11430337Playmates only knows TMNT as this point.
Anything they do with MMPR will be from what they know....
In other words, you'll be seeing a MMPR pizza shooter ! ! !
>>11436034Perfect for that Turbo pizza monster.
>>11436034I'd be perfectly fine with random toyetic stuff like this. Repurpose this thing into a mobile Monstermatic with exclusive Finster figure that shoots Putty discs.
>>11436034Now I really hope that they do a Power Rangers pizza thrower just to add another one, make it like the four horsemen of the pizza throwerpocalypse
New promo pics ofmpjxa the Red Battle Bike.
Seems to be the same figure as the non-automorphin, minus the holster and with maybe some different paint apps on the head/belt (paint apps on the final figure may differ).
>>11436720So everything is just...bad. ok.
>>11434416Hasbro never wanted PR.
>>11436810>Hasbro never wanted PR.No, Disney never wanted Power Rangers. Brian Goldner wanted it and paid $522 million for it. For context, Saban bought Power Rangers back from Disney for $43 million. Goldner was president of Bandai America for a few years, so he was well aware of the brand's potential. He died of prostate cancer in 2021, and his successor doesn't give a shit about it, so that's how we ended up in the situation we're in now.
>>11436720>>11436732Cool toy gimmick but awful if enacted in real life
The bike would take him out with sparks exploding on both sides while he karate-yells out in pain lol
>>11436723is that a fucking battle banana hammock
>>11432795Final? Glad I didn't start with this line.
>>11432795it's rumoured that the line's getting a rehaul and will ditch the common frame. probably something closer to the streamlined Megazords of the ZordBuilder line.
>>11437337If you like Zordbuilder it's worth getting a couple just for the inner skeleton. Those parts are extremely useful for Zordbuilder combinations. Pic related is an example of something that wasn't possible before, but with the DXRobo Universe arms the Lion Thunderzord sleeves can actually be used by other Megazord torsos.
>>11437393I hope this is true. I like what can be done with the DXRU skeleton, but it doesn't make for the best representations of the mecha, particularly the individual mecha suffer a lot. A middle ground between DXRU and the Full Action line would probably be ideal. I just hope whatever it is, they give us some different mecha and don't immediately regurgitate the same ones they always make.
>>11437408>Those parts are extremely useful for Zordbuilder combinationsMind showing a few more pics of how it works?
I can do mostly the same thing with SMPs(not sure about those legs), and the general low quality of the sculpt turns me away, but I'm curious what the limits of it can be.
>>11437427So is this just the 95/96 RP toy with some new soundclips?
>>11437436This is the skeleton broken down. Crotch and thighs are permanently affixed to each other. The stomach part is quite useful as it has a female port on one end and male on the other. This allows it to serve as an extention part. The forearms being female to female ports can also have a lot of applications. You can use the shoulders to repurpose leg zords as arms. You can get really creative with the parts and do a lot with them.
>>11437493Yeah. I hope they get minipla for OhRanger Robo and Red Puncher but that's a stretch.
>>11436034If only they were allowed to skip ahead a bit, Turbo provides the perfect monster for that.
>>11436208I do like that idea, though. Would be really fun.
>>11434416According to the tranny youtuber thats been posted in this thread, Hasbro had originally planned to release figures of Red/Blue/Zenith as an Amazon pack at one point. There's no evidence they ever entered production though so the decision to ditch the toyline entirely must've been made very early on.

>From "Chouriki Sentai Ohranger", which celebrated its 30th anniversary in March 2025, the "Power Brace" used by Ohrangers to transform has been made into a 30th anniversary commemorative product with various new features compared to the original DX version!
>The set includes the "Suit Pack Brace" that is worn on the left arm, and an "Energy Brace" that is worn on the right arm.
>It's 110% of the size of the DX version too! With an appearance that is more similar to the props used in the show.
>The gold parts of the Suit Pack Brace and the silver parts of the Energy Brace are partially plated to create a luxurious appearance.
>The "Storage Crystal" that is part of the Energy Brace is removable, just like in the show.
>Equipped with a motion sensor, sound effects are triggered in sync with arm movements performed during the transformation poses. By crossing your arms in front of your chest, the braces on both arms are activated and open, and full-color LEDs light up along with the sound of the transformation.
>It still features the distinctive mechanism with the light shining from the Suit Pack Brace reflecting inside the Storage Crystal, changing angle, and showing from the front. In addition to the normal transformation sounds, a special transformation sound for the final battle is also included.
>The Suit Pack Brace is equipped with a sound effect button and a BGM button. The sound effect button activates sound effects from the show, such as the "Ranger item appearance sound", "Big Bang Buster attack sound, "Olรฉ Bazooka attack sound", "Chouriki Dynamite Attack sound", and a "transformation cancellation sound", which add extra color to role-playing.
>The background music feature includes three memorable songs. - the theme song "Olรฉ! Ohranger (TV size)", "Chouriki Henshin!" and "Nijiiro Crystal Sky (TV size)".
>>11437436Youโll probably get the other big guys, Magi-King, Daibouken, RV robo
>>11437523>but that's a stretchNot hardly. Most if not all sets since they became Shokugan Model Project have been released in accordance with an anniversary of a particular season.
It's the 30th for Ohranger, and they're making the morpher. They'll announce it before the end of Summer, I would bet money on it.
Though the real green flag will be when they announce the Shodos for the rangers. After they're announced, we're getting the SMP announcement in a week or two.
>>11437499I'm wondering if you could make some kind of Centaur-esque zord abomination with enough bits.
>>11438427I hate how much they tie Ohranger to the stupid Aum Shinrikyo attack. It's not as if Baranoia did that shit and now the team has to be hidden in shame in a basement.
They could have at least shoved it further into the basement so Zeo fans wouldn't have to wait for decades to get the mecha of one of the most popular post-MMPR teams in toy form.
>>11438427>Though the real green flag will be when they announce the Shodos for the rangers. After they're announced, we're getting the SMP announcement in a week or two.Do we know if they're still doing Gingaman? They've kinda gone silent since Bull-Taurus, but they were teasing them being in the works to complete the Gao VS SS Dream Sentai line up.
>>11438532After Bull Taurus, they shifted attention to Magiranger for it's 20th anniversary, doing MagiKing and Wolf Kaiser, and the B&G GingaiOh and Clear Plastic Dragon Cesar and GaoKing.
So, enough going on, but not much new.
>>11437207>Brian Goldner wanted it and paid $522 million for it.See, the thing is, he did it on his own without telling anyone. Which pissed off the rest of Hasbro, and I wouldn't be surprised if they canned everything out of spite.
>>11436723Playmates needs to learn that these hips are literally the worst.
>>11436720the packaging reminds me of the masked rider toyline
>>11438429I own one currently and have four more on the way, so I accept this challenge. In the meantime have this RPM, Samurai, Super Megaforce, Dino Charge combo.
>>11438427The morpher is just the old DX toy with new sounds.
>>11437954I had the Gold Ranger's morpher when I was a kid. That was the best one imo. The flippy part was diecast. DESU that was such a great time for 6th rangers. Green, White, and Gold back to back.
>>11438801Not so, see
>>11437954>It's 110% of the size of the DX version too! With an appearance that is more similar to the props used in the show.
>>11438672Make your own toys.
>>11438955>110% of the size of the DX versionThat's a dealbreaker for me. I hated the Legacy Morpher being larger than the original toy, and I hate this. I can't speak for Sentai accuracy, but Power Rangers used the toys as props, so for a PR fan these larger collectibles are a lot more money for less accuracy. I'll stick with my 1:1 accurate 96 Zeonizer.

>>11438672>Playmates needs to learn that these hips are literally the worst.I hate them too, but let's not pretend it couldn't be worse. McFarlane charges $20 for swivel hips. At least these will have some outward movement.
>>11439255I do hope they show the Dragonzord even if it's just a teaser.
99% sure this is a yes, but are these the SH Fig Rangers or something else? It might be the risers and the SOG Megazord in the background, but they look a lot bigger than I thought they were.
>>11438959>Just make up the slack for these multimillion dollar companies, bro
>>11440040Itโs really just the SH Figuarts
Shouldn't everyone who wants them already have a perfect MMPR team? Has one really not been made?
>>11440543They all have their pros and cons, i wouldn't say there's ever been a definitive perfect release. Figuarts botched the helmet sculpts and only Red comes with a full array of weapons. The rest of the core team only gets their personal weapon, Blade Blaster in holster mode, and the Blade Blaster combination with the Thunder Slinger, which was a really odd choice. They also don't really scale with anything other than figuarts. The old MMPR villains are too small, the Lightning Collection villains are too big. Super Legends Zedd works well, but that's about it.
Lightning Collection Remastered have great helmet sculpts, a full array of weapons, 5/6 have unmasked heads (sorry Jason), and numerous villains in scale with them, so they may be the best to date, but I've never personally liked the bulky LC bodies.
Some may argue for Mezco, and they certainly do have a nice array of of accessories, but I think the cloth suits look horrible, and the helmet sculpts are overly big and outright bad.
Super7? Another great set of accessories, but the figures themselves are super basic articulation wise. They also have some bad headsculpts, both helmeted and human. Qverall quality also seems poor, with many people reporting breaks.
>>11438532Gingamon will probably be returned to later, just like I'm sure they'll return to Megaranger later on.
I'd hazard a bet Ohranger is next though.
Meanwhile I'll wait and weep, praying for Carranger one day soon. And Mega Voyager so I can fulfill a childhood dream
>>11439255soo...where is it?
>>11440833Isn't Carranger really popular in Japan? That can sometimes be a curse because it means that they know it'll be a good seller and hold it back until they need to spice up sales.
>>11441127I really think they meant the site would be updated on Monday. They got the day wrong.
>>11441254I'd wager the date wasn't wrong per se, they just never bothered to check to see what day of the week it fell on. Just another in a long line of embarrassments from this franchise.
>>11441335Most likely. Not a good look regardless.
Playmates, I just want to see the Dragonzord.
>>11441338>Not a good look regardless. The marketing of this entire endeavor has been atrocious.
>Cryptic teaser posts on social media leading people to think we were getting stuff like wrist communicators, the Rad Bug, even civilian Ranger teen figures, which only lead to disappointment when none of that stuff was present or mentioned at toy fair. >Posting those awful silhouettes of the articulated figures. The silhouettes only drew more attention to the figures' flaws, and it lead to three weeks of people shitting on the line across social media prior to it's reveal. >When figures were finally revealed it was the auto-morphins, which look even worse than the silhouettes of the articulated figures. We know now they're two different sets of figures, but at the time the sentiment was "oh god, they're even worse than I thought.">Announce AI upscaled episodes. Not well received.>Show side-by-side comparison of AI enhanced footage versus original. They look the same.>Have powerrangers.com redirect to a page on your website saying come back on June 1st to see the full line-up of toys. June 1st comes and goes without said update. This has all been botched so spectacularly that I'm almost inclined to believe it's intentional for some nefarious purpose.
>>11441381On top of it all, the product looks like shit. And yes, even by kid toy, $10 figure standards. Even with the limited budget and deco/articulation constraints, these are still done just about as badly as they could be. Why are the limbs to chunky and oddly sculpted? Why are the hip hinges in that orientation? Why hip hinges at all, why not ball joints?
>>11441572What part of being $10 kids toys means you have to use the worst possible hip engineering imaginable? It's more complex than a simple ball joint, and only serves to look significantly worse and limit poseability. What part of being a $10 kids toy means the heads need to be tiny and out of proportion with the bodies? Hell, Hasbro's $10 kids toys looked BETTER than the "collectible" ones, and had better engineered hip articulation.
>>11441201Genuinely no idea. If that's the case that's totally fair, even if I'm suffering without VRV/Turbo Rescue megazord
>>11441572Learn to read.
>>11441622This guy gets it. Just because they were limited with budget, doesn't mean they had to make really bad engineering and sculpting choices.
Anyways, go look at what Playmates is offering with the Superman movie lines. 6" tall, as articulated as these but with better engineering and no obviously stupid joint design, tons more paint/deco, plus a BAF piece. All for $10 and reportedly only $8 at Walmart. That's fucking insane for that price these days.
>>11441974WTF You seriously have reading comprehension issues. None of what you're saying is what that anon said at all
>>11441127>4pm on the 2nd>still no update to the siteThe most embarrassing about this is that page is what powerrangers.com brings you to. It's not just some obscure hidden thing on Playmates' own website. Imagine someone going to powerrangers.com on the afternoon of June 2nd 2025, only to be greeted with a message saying come back on June 1st 2025. The level of no one giving a fuck about what was once a billion dollar IP is honestly astonishing.
Playmates changed the date to July.
>>11443646What could even be the reason for them to do that? It's not like they can adjust anything at this late stage in the figures' development
>>11443960Probably the timeline for it hitting retailers got pushed a couple weeks
>>11443646these look like something from 2009. so outdated and ugly.
>>11443646Yellow's crotch literally looks like it's the butt and the part is turned around.
>>11443646And then changed to August, then to September, then to October, then November, then December, then January, then no changes with no release and then quietly cancelled
>>11443646Do... Do they not know what the toys are yet...?
>>11443646I just want to see the monsters and if they're doing the good TMNT crossover
>>11444357May be approvals/licensing related
>>11444385Sounds more like those pesky trump tariffs getting in the way
>>11444388But I live in America now.
>>11444389So you admit to being fat?
>poster hates america
>poster moves to america
Many such cases.
>chungus told a lie
>chungus told a truth
Which is it?
>>11444387Wouldn't be surprised if this delayed things. They said at Toy Fair we should start getting the toys from Walmart in June.
>>11439185I feel the same way. Same reason I'm looking forward to the Memorial Dino Buckler (and the inevitable Dragon Buckler) more than the Power Brace, since it uses the same scale as the original DX. I do kind of regret passing on all the Legacy Power Morphers though, if only due to retroactively becoming show-accurate. That and the subsequent attempts by Hasbro and now Playmates driving aftermarket prices up.
>>11428882Better than the Super7 garbage they were releasing last year. Mine were broken out of the package and Pulse's worthless customer support told me it wasn't their responsibility to refund or send replacements.
>>11444387Oh yeah, I'm sure the shipments were held overseas when the tariffs were well over 100%. That probably delayed many toys due out early/mid summer
Well the Power Rangers side of things may be in a rough state right now, but I had some fun today courtesy of Bandai Japan.
>>11445535Ahh, sorry man, you're just going to feel "HOLLOW" disappointment when you should've bought the originals.

Also it looks like the Automorphin figures are larger than the other ones. I don't understand that.
>>11428314 (OP)>5 inches>asianYep.
>>11444329Wouldn't be surprising. Or they could replace the team of 5 with a line of Tommy Oliver tribute figures from the different seasons.
>>11445535Cool! Good luck doing that centaur mecha with the frames!
>>11445612Man, toy commercials really are a lost art form, aren't they? Feels like they're trying to capture the style of the originals without the same energy they had. Encapsulates Re-Ignition as a whole to be blunt.
>>11445622>a line of Tommy Oliver tribute figures from the different seasons. They should do evolution packs like they do with their TMNT lines. They could have an unmorphed Ranger and all their Ranger forms. Only problem is the number of figures would vary.

>>11445612>Classic Go Go Power Rangers instead of the Redux version, the Neo Saban era version, a new version entirely, or just generic commercial music>Fairly accurate Goldar and Rita voices even though they aren't Kerrigan and BarbaraIt's probably just a sign of my standards being lowered over the years, but props to you for that, Playmates.
>The Blade Blaster's blade disappears inside the gun instead of needing to be flipped downHoly shit, if that's actually how the toy works and isn't just commercial trickery, that's a huge improvement.
Villain scale. At first I thought "Why is Rita so big", but then I realized it's her hair that's boosting her height by at least half an inch, so she should scale nicely with the older Bandai stuff. Goldar and Putty seem small though. The Automorphin males are 5.8" and the articulated males are 5.25", and Goldar is only 5.2" and Putty is only 5"? What's especially odd is that the larger Automorphins are the figures being sold as the companions for these villains.
>>11447790Why does the Putty have a much better human-looking sculpt and proportions than any of the rangers? And normal ball hinge hips too? Why the hell were the rangers given that awful hip hinge and angle?
>>11447805The knees are also much better on the Putty compared to the Rangers. It makes a huge difference. I may just pick up the villains and use them with Bandai's Action Heroes since the scale is perfect for them.
>>11447850No, knees are worse than the Rangers since the hinge is on the upper leg and not below the knee. So the lower leg just gets rotation and no hinge which is pretty useless.
>>11447879I was talking in terms of looks. It looks much better than those sleeve legs the Rangers have. I'm not sure the rotation being below the knee is any worse than if it had been above. Seems like a lateral thing to me. It will be better for some poses and worse for others.
The villains clearly have scaled back articulation compared to the Rangers since they're unique molds. I'd say that's probably why the Putty has ball hips, because it's a simpler manner of doing hip articulation compared to swivel hinges. Playmates just doesn't seem to understand that the way they do swivel hinge hips is significantly worse than a simple ball joint, and that their consumers would be much happier with ball joints.
Nothing about the 6 inch stuff but is the Lighting Collection still going? My local Walmart and few other Walmarts I been to don't have them,Are they no longer selling it and Walmart hoping for that brain rot shit.
Also when will Hasbro make the Samurai Rangers.when I heard about the Lighting Collection, these were the rangers I wanted to see but where the fuck are they. They're a core part of my childhood.
>>11448351Lightning Collection is dead. Sanurai Ranger toys from Playmates is very unlikely.
>>11447912>I'm not sure the rotation being below the knee is any worse than if it had been above. Seems like a lateral thing to me.No, it's completely worse. It's as if the swivel hinge elbows were flipped upside down on the arms. The lower arm would have no side to side/lateral movement, which is the sole benefit of this swivel hinge type joint.
>>11445863>Only problem is the number of figures would vary. You'd have to change things up by splitting it up by era in order to get it more equal. Or, more likely, just make Tommy's set exclusive.
>>11448351They're one of the few teams that were completed by SHF, why would you want LCs?
>>11431013Crabby cabbie would be a fun figure, could maybe even make some kind of boxset with a bike figure to reference the rita's rewind race section he appears in.
>>11448393I think the arms benefit more from a swivel being above the elbows than the legs do from one being above the knee. Bandai's basic figures had single hinged knees with swivels at the boots, which is effectively the same movement as these Putties, and I can't say I ever found myself wishing for a swivel above the knee. I did often wish for one above the elbow though.
I've also never particularly cared about villains having the same level of articulation as the Rangers. The Rangers are the ones I associate with doing all the acrobatics and such, and the villains are essentially props for them to beat up on. Sure, it can be nice to have more poseability, but I'm perfectly happy with my 9POA Cogs who have ball hips and nothing below, so these Putties will do just fine for me. I prefer they look good than have that horrible looking knee articulation the Rangers have.
>There are new Funkos coming out
>Based on the Power Rangers Movie (1995)
>They look dope
FUCKING TEMPTED. THESE WILL BE MY FIRST FUNKO.
>>11451183Don't do it anon, it's not worth it. It's a stain on your soul you'll never recover from. Just hunt down Bandai's movie figures.
>>11451848This. The movie figures Bandai America made in 2015 are the best Rangers they ever did IMO. The Legacy Ninja Megazord is also a beauty.
>>11451890>cries on passing on the movie black ranger figure at TRU waiting on a saleI have them all even Ivan except for Adam. And now a crushed boxed one goes for $80 on ebay.
>>11451183It's still hilarious to me that Funko just said "fuck it" and went with the TV/Kakuranger version of the Ninja Megazord. Which, good choice, but still.
Eventually modern PR toy releases will be worse than the 90s ones.
>>11452966>EventuallyAlready happened long ago.
>>11452908I don't follow, what's different about it? I'm a bit of a newb in this field.
Has anyone got the release schedule for Re-ignition?
>>11454707Ah I see. Yeah, much better choice was made here.
>>11454708Scratch that, got it

>Will start rolling out in June on Walmart.com>In stores like about a month or two later>Target and Amazon towards the end of the yearThough with all the tariff drama that could have changed. Their website claimed it would update with the full product line on June 1st, but the date was quietly changed to July 1st. Some random Amazon listings did go up with a September ship date.
>>11454731I found some on Amazon with July release dates, but only the flip head rangers, none of the regular figures yet.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/page/92F5D705-BABC-4A41-963B-298CE1010A63?ingress=2&visitId=2771d354-847d-4757-99a8-dda975ccce41&ref_=ast_bln
Remains to be seen if they'll actually hit that release date though.
>>11454707The movie one is horrible. TV all the way.
>>11455229It doesn't hold a candle to the TV suit, but it didn't look THAT bad in the movie itself. And it's been proven it can actually look pretty cool. I still want merch of that version, if only for the novelty of having a physical representation of its existence. Not a damn Funko, though.
>>11456235Is there a point? Until the toys start to actually release what's left to say?
>>11456306I just like to be in threads with people who share a common interest...
>>11455410the head is really very strange
>>11455410anon, the CG movie version isn't getting merch. too ugly when there's the much better-looking Sentai/TV version.
>>11456737Sorry, I forgot you aren't allowed to voice things you'd like to see happen, even if it's unlikely. My bad.
>>11456942Don't be such a cringe fuck.
>Uh muh opinion is heckin valid ackshully
>>11456942if it hasn't happened by now then it's never happening you fucking retard
you're an adult right? learn to move on and give up on a dream
no with taste likes that ugly shit when the sentai version exists stop coping
when is the AI upscale supposed to begin "airing"?
>>11457519This it? I'm not sure.

>>11457519>when is the AI upscale supposed to begin "airing"?They're 10 episodes in. Not exactly well planned given no toys are available to purchase.
