Where can I find the glasses in picrel or the file to print these glasses. If the file costs, that's fine. I know the upcoming Aileen comes with glasses, but I see these all over, and I can't figure out where to find them.

Alright, I kinda need help for custom-builidng:

Does anyone know good cloth textiles and/or methods of treating cloth to emulate chain mail?
I kinda wanna do that but the last options I had had holes too big and didn't look chainmail-ish enough.
Trying to turn my 30 Minutes Fantasy kit into a Dark Souls-looking thing, so I'm also wondering if there's any cloth tabards in blue for sale that could suit my purposes.

Ah, sorta like that, but I'm looking for the material itself, not a presewn item, so I can cut and sew them to fit my knight as I please. Like adding sleeves of chainmail!

Perhaps a very fine ladies chainmail style pendant could be used? Pretty sure you can get these cheap, youโ€™d have to make sure itโ€™s a pretty small fine chainmail pendant to look good though.

Or these little chainmail earrings you can get might work, can be clipped to shape/sewn together with some silver thread.

That could work, at the risk of making it heavy.
That said, I'm mostly looking for something like a textile to alleviate weight concerns.

Oh, so something like the Kailab skellies? I think they may use a very small silver mesh/net fabric layered over possibly black sheer fabric to give it depth which could work? Check out your local fabric store, they can probably help or if they donโ€™t have it direct you where to order the correct type. Itโ€™ll be fiddly, Iโ€™d suggest glueing the fabric together before any sewing.

I plan on enhancing some knockoffs. Here is what I plan to do base on skimming threads, articles and videos.
I) I detach each joints/accessories
II) Cover them with primer
III) Apply paint
IV) Put finish
Did I missed anything? Any tips or modern guide to share?

New 3D printer (and post-processing station) ordered! Once it's all set up I'm gonna try printing either my Midna kit or this plump girl body I designed (pictured here with a Mei head). Might make some revisions before I do though, I have since learned it's best to have a 0.05mm gap between joint surfaces when designing these things.

It should look better once printed; some degree of gaps are unavoidable for the sake of poseability. I haven't had the opportunity to actually test print this particular design and I'm still very much learning, so I may refine this further to be less gappy.

Posted in >>11454225, but also looking for advice on improving it here:

Flaws I wanna address include:
> Lanky proportions, but don't want to lose the leg parts since the thighs are articulated.
> Upper torso's insides are full of plastic and needs a way to reduce that so the joint for the abdomen can be recessed deeper.
> Entire arm assembly from shoulder to forearm is unable to stay on and isn't that good at folding upward.

To that end, I have some questions:
1) How do I remove more of the material inside the upper torso? Do I need to buy a router or some power drill that can scoop them out?
2) How do I hollow out the arms so that I can slide arm parts inside, making them actual sleeves?

3) I think I want to improve the joints a bit in the shoulder so he can cross his arms and pose more, so I have a question: Are there any joints like this with a 3mm peg at the end?

Or do I have to cut up the figma Konata leg I have to get that joint out, then sand the ball down to a 3mm peg?
(Are there ways to get that socket piece out of that leg without any destructive methods? Hot water isn't cutting it for me.)
(see image in >>11454227 for joint I'm looking into)

I FINALLY got the opportunity to print my Midna design for myself! Unfortunately I placed too much faith in auto-supports and quite a few parts failed (the head was partially misprinted but good enough for a first prototype) but it did show me both areas for improvement and things I'll carry forward to future designs.
The good:
>Articulation in general works well, at the risk of blowing my own trumpet the hips work astoundingly well.
>Sculpt is definitely nice in resin so that's cool.
>Even with prototype jank in mind she feels good to pose (mostly).
The bad:
>The waist joint needs redesigning, the walls on the sockets are too thin (one of the sockets did break whilst trying to disassemble her again) and there's a nasty gap between the two halves of her torso.
>The shoulders, knees and elbows are reliant on 1mm pins to work. It's kind of inevitable at this scale, sadly, and it's not a massive deal but it is worth noting, though I could change the shoulders for balljoints?
>I definitely need to make the pegholes a fraction wider. I fear they'll need drilling out a bit post-print regardless just 'cuz resin fluctuates in size at a microscopic level regardless of how well printed it is.
>As you might expect, she will need a stand as her head is a solid chunk of resin. I could hollow it out maybe?
As an aside, Tough 74 properly calibrated is insane. No powdering at all, holds detail well and even really thin parts are hard to break. Definitely need to get some TH-BJD (the fleshtone version).
