Is there a good way to sell toys that i dont want anymore, especially en masse? My house is really over packed with stuff and i need to get rid of probably most of my collection asap

If you try to sell in lots, you will have to take a big loss and they still may not move very fast. At least that was my experience. I ended up listing things individually and they sold faster and I made more money. It wasn't too annoying for me though because I didn't have that many figures I was trying to get rid of.

If you don't mind not making money, offer to sell stuff here for the price of shipping, a box, and a car ride to whatever shipping service you prefer. You won't make money but you would at least not lose anything more than the initial cost, and know the toy isn't just trashed.

Box up the most valuable items you have to sell on eBay, make cheap bulk sales of the rest. If the bulk stuff doesn’t sell, donate ‘em or just do a yard sale with everything that’s not worth anything for a buck and under each, post about it on any local collector Facebook groups and they’ll come slithering in to snatch up bargains.

I think 4chan is way too sketchy to buy/sell on. I'm sure most people on /toy/ are honest but still, very easy to fall prey to something nefarious. I would stick to the established platforms like ebay, marcari, etc

Well, anybody you sell to is gonna see a return address, so it’s unlikely. However I’ve always sold via selling platforms only.

Look for a local comic shop that buys second-hand. No, you will not get a bargain. If you want to make comparably more, I suggest you take a time of day or two to catalog and research each item you have

If you have a lot of things that aren't worth much (under $20) then a garage sale would be good. You could advertise it on nextdoor and similar sites

I've bought and sold in the /bst/ here for 10-12 years, and my name and address are probably known on at least 3 different boards, and nothing has ever come of it. Some neckbeard shitposters who live in their mom's basement aren't intelligent or motivated enough to fuck with anyone anyway. The anonymity is the only thing that emboldens them, and they'd fold immediately when confronted in real life.

I've had way more issues dealing with people eBay than any other interaction on 4chan.

If you're that terrified of boogeymen, just donate them somewhere.

Facebook marketplace
Don’t expect anything more than 50% of the retail cost of used toys tho unless it’s something like a masterpiece transformer than you can go 100%

Sell everything as "sets" by genre or toyline, like a set of G1 transformers, a set of beast wars, etc. Clean them up and take good photos. Lots of people will be tempted by what seems like a bulk discount deal.

Also if there are odd items that don't fit with anything, or you can't sell individually, include them as "surprise bonus items/gifts", this works on a lot of people.

Also try not to appear to desperate.

Ive sold on here twice, im still alive and paypal is relatively safe if you think youre getting screwed over. Just make a new email to use for selling.
