the skeleton isn't even necessary, it's peak Japanese overwork to make things seem like more effort was put in than they needed.
Not to say SHFSS isn't the best SHF has to offer, they are.

It's good for limb lenghts, but most artists will learn anatomical proportions from the proper body with tissues on top anyway.
This is a whole trend with artists that jerk off over anatomy, where they start every drawing with skulls and skeletons just to show off.
