Are toys with overly "its for kids" designs are a psyop to make kids fuckin retarded?
i wouldnt touch any of this shit as a kid, no way. adults touting the "its for kids" excuse are the root of this garbage

yes you would. You're a kid, so anything great and relevant would catch your attention. You're only saying this now from adult eyes

The supermans ive seen all have some crummy paint, so even kid me would notice something was off with the figure. Maybe i couldnt explain it better than say , it looks wrong or weird as a kid sean though

Uses a 25x25pixel image in the post. I guarantee the retarded kids you're bitching about can find their way around technology better than you can

when i was a kid that was something extremely neat to me about 1:18th scale, I don't know what it was. I never had much interest in the bigger figures like marvel legends, they weren't toyetic enough I guess.

No, i wouldnt. The only line i actively asked for was legends of the dark knight every other line would get your ass kicked.

Believe it or not things that are cool enough for adults are even cooler when your a kid

Agreed even when I was a kid I wanted articulation and accuracy. I find it hard to believe there are so many adults that would have liked the slop figures they shill back when they were kids. But maybe they have always been slop lovers.

>>11434333
Maybe when I was like 3 years old. From 8+ I could discern quality differences between figures.

Second this.
If it doesn't have the movement you wanted, your imagination will fill in the gaps.

The price point is just right ($7-9) that even the Dollar General moms would splurge for their kid

BS - a kid might question why the SM costume is all black but once a kid had seen the tobey venom suit, he wouldn't. Otherwise, a kid wouldn't give a fuck about shit like raised lines or if it was the Romita suit or the Ditka suit or whatever your actual 'accuracy' nonsense re-imagining conceives of.

Has anyone ever wondered why with decades of inflation, people's willingness to spend on certain goods like toys still remains frozen at 1990s levels? Like you hear how parents are not willing to pay 25 dollars for an action figure to give to their kid today, but that equates to 10 dollars sometime during the 90s

1990s toys ($4-5 for a Toybiz X-men figure, $10-15 got you a vehicle)

I know what you're trying to say but...
toy companies are trying to cater to even the poorest person who thinks $10 is a lot of money, hence they'll cut corners to keep at that price range.

I'm surprised how we in 2025 have multiple lines of the same franchise that caters to every economic level possible.
You can go from a 5POA to a freakin' PRIME Statue.

I definitely remember some toys being 10 bucks by the end of the 90s. McFarlane's stuff was like 7-8 bucks

Sure, McFarlane pushed Spawn figures to the upper $10-15 at the time.

Most of his stuff used a lot more plastic too.
I remember MaleBolgia and Poacher figure being a huge hunk of plastic.

I don't like the costume and softfaced-Superman they chose but willing to give the movie a try.
