I’ve gotten great deals from secondhand toy dealers, arranged trades and things like live signings from Junji Ito before the con and gotten neat stuff from the artist alley, though naturally you will run into a higher concentration of cringelords than before. Probably the best place to meet people with your interests.

I'm to a point where while i appreciate the female beauty, females are just something that fill the environment i look at.
I'll try to be clearer, think about stunning supercars in videogames: you like them, their shapes, colors, sounds, performance, engineering; but in the end you don't really care since it's nothing but a rendition of pixels on a screen of something you most likely (surely) won't ever even get close enough, let alone own and use them.
On the other side there are toys which are way more tangible and obtainable, kind of, still related to something i used to like, care and dream about when i wasn't old and jaded. Ah and can't exclude the slight brief dopanine rush of consumerism too.

I’ve only kissed two girls in a romantic way, only ever had three GFs, all while I was in high school, and haven’t bothered to get a date or partner in over 10yrs now. Similar issue for me. Mine’s codependent and was strict with my brother and me, both my bro and I each have psychological hang-ups from her messed-up personality. After living with her for so long I never want to live with a woman ever again.
