If that's a DM20 if it's Japanese, you can bridge some connectors for debug mode, if it's English, too bad.
Pendulum 20th has a pretty well known mod where you can unlock all the eggs from all 4 versions and switch it to English.
Vital bracelet and especially the BE have a pretty thriving mod scene, everything from custom Dims to quality of life firmware updates.
And the color series are extremely customizable, but you gotta really know what youre doing, sprite swaps are pretty achievable, but there are some folds writing some pretty advanced updates for them as well.
