Wal-Mart was blowing Mutant Mayhem toys out for CHEAP. Basic figures were as low as $4 around here.

The head dropping MM Turtles are hitting Targets and the newest wave of mix and match. It all kind of blends together on the pegs.

i appreciate that they respect our intelligence enough to just lay out the props like "here, this is what we're selling" but additional images of this stuff assembled and in use would be appreciated.. the smaller stands with the individual surfboards, the big wave with what I can only assume is one they can all use together...

on one hand, yeah. a depressed Peter Laird sold a beloved, homebrewed franchise to the devil and it has sucked ever since
on the other hand, the neca movie line, neca toon line, super7 classic toy line... okay, two of those are clearly winding down, but.. look at the licensed and unlicensed thirdparty weird stuff. turtles are getting ATTENTION
not 'someone 3d printed up replacement weapons' attention, but attention

so what were the purpose of the soft heads on the old TMNT figs? wasn't that significantly more expensive to make part of the figure in a different material from the rest? For no real benefit I can think of.

Objectively speaking, for the price and what you get included with each figure makes them a higher value for your money. Additionally, the pace that they’re releasing new characters is a much higher turnaround than most of the major companies handling this license at the moment. But, sure - tell me how I’m wrong.

Yeah, no. I’d rather spend my money on a NECA figure that is around the same price and comes with just as many accessories and is a much bigger size that scales with much more stuff. Even if I was into 1/18, Star Wars TVC is like $16.99. They’re inflating their prices for no reason.

The size and everything was fine, I think it was just the colouring. There was a little template guide I had read that has you roll the crust from the bottom over to the top to give it some texture but the pizza itself could be thicker. Looks OK sitting by itself but it doesn't replace something like the pizza slices that came with the movie turtles.

The belts and knee-pads are that super soft, squishy rubber that can dry out and crack pretty easily. The torsos also have a very thin rubber overlay that seems like it damages easily (scuffing mostly). Neither feel like lasting materials. You've seen the Toybiz Morbius figure with the melted rubber face? Yeah.

I honestly worry about how these figures will last if stored away.

So the figure had a rubber face with a "biting" mechanism action feature. You'd push the lever and he'd "open his mouth" which was achieved with a little lever inside the head that would stretch the rubber. Worked fine at the time. But that really super squishy rubber does not hold up over time, and it begins to melt and discolor. Which has turned nearly all of this Morbius figure into a completely trashed mess.

plastic is a funny thing. I bought this real old Zoid kit where the little rubber caps that hold the parts on were super old and hard (and gold, so that doesn't help matters) and while I was able to re-soften them using a mixture of alcohol and wintergreen oil, I talked myself out of letting the caps DRY first, and by putting them on wet, they just left a sticky gummy mess all over the pegs on the inside (and oozed themselves back off the pegs)

For the most part thats definitely true. But tmnt and thundercats sold pretty well by the same token, otherwise they never would have gone as deep as they did. We already have them, but someone in the previous thread said Loyal Subjects lost the license and I have no confirmation of whether or not that's true. There were some pretty big empty spots in the IDW line like Foot ninjas and April O'Neil, and the foot ninjas were supposed to come out sometime this year, but I have not heard anything about when and where we might see them, and if they did lose the license then the answer is likely never. I hope that's not the cast because I've been collecting the line, but who knows with the toy industry these days.

I believe you are referring to McFarlane's Page Punchers line of IDW turtles. The way licensing works with Page Punchers is somewhat different from a typical action figure because they are smaller and have less articulation than a typical McFarlane figure, and they're sold and marketed as a collectible that comes with a comic. It's very unlikely that the very specific licensing deals that McFarlane works out to create TMNT Page Punchers is a result of Loyal Subjects losing their license to make fully articulated figures based on the full range of characters from the comic.

The Page Punchers line will most likely be for just the 4 turtles with each one coming with a comic story that highlights them as a character. Page Punchers is as much a way to backdoor sneak comics into more mainstream retailers that normally wouldn't carry them as it is a value added feature for the toy itself, which in turn the comic publisher can use to get more people interested in the comic.

Last anyone has heard from Loyal Subjects regarding TMNT they'd announced a signigicant number of new figures that will require unique toolings, however since they don't have the same kind of publicity as bigger manufacturers it's unlikely we will see pre-release renders of their figures, which means we'll find out if they still have anything new in production from toy fairs and SDCC. If they show up at SDCC with no Ninja Turtles products at all then that could be a bad sign, but there are a number of other reasons why that could be the case that have nothing to do with the license, especially if they are supply chain related.

If it's any consolation to the people who were collecting the Loyal Subjects IDW turtles line, it sounds like the McFarlane figures might be the same scale, meaning you won't necessarily have to re-buy the characters you already own if you want to pick up where the BST AXN line left off. It's not a lot but it's not nothing, either.

For example, the turtles in BST AXN are about 5" and Shredder and the Foot Elite ninja are 6" tall, similar in size to Marvel Legends and GI Joe Classified. From what we've heard the McFarlane turtles will be somewhere around 5" too, which would hopefully mean they'll be about the same size as BST AXN.

You're kidding right? Tards actually did pay full price for the $500 Super7 van. Turtle tards will pay $300 for 3 walls, a floor, some Re-ment furniture and a sheet of foamcore.

It's not like we have half a dozen threads dedicated to toylines people order from Japan all the time...which get the occasional retard that needs to buy from BBTS because they are too retarded to figure out how to use a Japanese site. But I guess ordering from 5kToys or Gundamit is sooooo hard that it requires you to use more brainpower than you actually have.
>some ridiculously overpriced $800 turtle van
I get it, you're poor. Luckily the 40k tank is $180, which is the vehicle that is the closest equivalent to the size of a Turtle Van. Once again, because you seem to be actually brain-dead, I was using the $700 Knight as an example that it isn't impossible to import large expensive items, because people around the world import toys from other countries all the time.
Do you think England has a retailer that will stock the Mythic Legions dragon? Fuck no. But I guess the concept of not being able to buy something from Walmart confuses and infuriates you.
I mean, it wouldn't be impossible for people that actually work to import a Joytoy Turtle Van. For neet faggots that sit at their computer all day babysitting a TMNT thread, it certainly would be almost impossible.

rollerblades would indeed be more fitting. And they certainly existed at the time (they were brand new even), but I feel like a guy Casey's age in the late 80s early 90s would think of them as kids stuff, and stick with his good oldfashioned skates. Hell, when he was a kid, skates still had keys sometimes. to just fit to your existing shoes.

that face has a good Henson-y look to it. But I'm confused as to why he has one stub horn which has a ring around it which then features another horn... if you were gonna replace your horn, wouldn't you ... place it on the stub of the old one? or is this to leave room for it to grow back

Hmmm I've looked it up just to make sure, but the assumption is that reptile horns are bone, same as chameleons, and certainly in the fossils they look like bone... when a bone horn breaks, it's not coming back. there's no deer-antler-velvet regrowin situation, because that process is rapid and makes very lightweight horns that are meant to break and regrow

NTA, but no official announcement. Not even an "inside source" rumor like with Neca's Gargoyles line. Just the wave 3&4 prototypes stuck in vaporware status with no word of a release. I hope they end up as MC exclusives at minimum, but if they don't show them at SDCC again this year, I'm guessing it's over.

I heard its just that Mattel is going through a rough patch right now. Had to close like, six factories, the tariff stuff...I wouldn't be surprised if waves 3 and 4 were just held up.

I don't think they were ever on any official future release schedule. The sign at SDCC where they were displayed said Fall 2024, but that was for wave 2 which was released in October.

hope you're right, but it'll be a sad finale..
i really need to get into 3d printing and shit, because I just cannot rely on companies to make the toys I want anymore. the Gargoyles line was an admirable attempt, but with such easily-fixed flaws.

The comic is completely separate from the toyline. The toys didn't sell well, so the toys die off.

Ripster and Jab sold out so quickly everywhere that many missed out on them because they thought they would be around for a while like MOTU Origins first wave was. The only way you'll get them is from flippers (including the only Jab currently on BBTS for $10 over retail), and it's been like that since late last year.
Streex sold out in most places too. Slammu and Piranoid have sold ok, but not as well as the other 3. Slash was the only one that really bombed, but even he is getting harder to find. Of course, now Piranoid and Slammu will rot everywhere because nobody wants to buy them if they can't get the other 3 MCs.

I found wave 2 at burlingtons a few months ago for $13 each. Sucks they have released any news for wave 4, I just need Slobster, Killamari and Moby Lick and I'd be happy. The Ripteel and Rox would be cool, but I could do without.
