Yeah there's a handful, not nearly as much choice as there is for G1 characters though. Fans Hobby has the the biggest roster so far, they've done Prime and Megatron, along with their powerlinx decks, as well as Tidal Wave and the minicon weapon teams. I believe they also have a Starscream in the works. They do have their own design language, and they aren't slavishly rendered off of the original designs, taking a few liberties here and there. There's also Mechanical Skull Studio, they've put out legends scaled Starscream and Ramjet so far.

ive been thining of trying to get a few armada figures loose and repainting them to match some minicons. not really sure which characters but ive been thinking of demolisher, cyclonus, or maybe another smaller figure like that.

the armada line has a thundercracker and skywarp so i was inspired to try painting some new characters. have only painted gundam model kits so will have to see if it works or not. with the joints im not sure if its even possible.

Problem with Iceberg, AmazingSpino and Kamizono's designs is that they don't CAD and prove their transformations in 3D space. This means whichever company picks them up has to invest in a lot of engineering which is the actual hard part. It's an uphill battle from the start. It's no coincidence that Nicee got made first because her transformation is mostly the T30 mold's minus the car hood turning into the chest.

To Iceberg's credit, they've started doing CAD and protoyping their own designs, only to realize how difficult it was. Currently they are doing design work for Quan Kai Studios (specifically the core body), doesn't transform but a job's a job.

One thing you missed out is Spino's designs commissioned by Scifigure. Nebula got heavily redesigned into a shellformer. Then Scifigure pivoted their business and Spino's other designs there are in limbo.

Kyoryu Kuramochi, and also Ban who designed the Flame Toys fembots, both got screwed more by twitter than 3Ps. The Quankai mantis and headless horse woman have basic transformations. Iceberg is definitely the most prolific of the bunch, he's working freelance for 4-5 studios so hopefully something good comes out of one of them. Also he's making some furry action figures for SCS studio.

This guy is really nice, feels twice as heavy as lockdown due to the parts count and metal. Only complaints are that the wheel split gimmick doesn't really work as they just fall back into place, the swords are opaque and replace the hands instead of going on top of the wrist. Peterbilt mode is a bit too thin to match with oldschool movie legends but the robot modes work pretty well. Really hoping that they make some cars as the quality is pretty great. Smart car twins and arcee triplets are probably impossible at the size but I'm down for Jetfire and sentinel.

I passed on it. Have you seen the video? That Getter's combination seems really weak. It requires further partsforming of the forearms and lower legs, plus the cockpits and oni-masks for Jaguar and Bear machines are purely cosmetic parts not involved in the combination. The recent Moderoid kit has a better combination scheme with compromises to the look, and there are plenty of non-combining Getter figures, so you're really just paying (a lot) extra for the Oni style.
