What are your thoughts on Playmobil picking up more licenses lately? Over the past decade, they've added quite a few—from Ghostbusters, How to Train Your Dragon, and Back to the Future to Scooby-Doo, Naruto, Miraculous Ladybug, and Asterix & Obelix.

not to talk you out of it, but there have been semi-reliable "rumors" that Lego WILL do a Naruto blind-box minifig series next year. nothing official yet, no pictures or details beyond the "clue" of "it's anime and something Playmobil has already done...." which can only, realistically, be Naruto

You don't want Lego Naruto if you're into Lego. It could realistically superannuate Ninjago, which is the best Lego theme in production and far, far cooler than Naruto ever can be. What Naruto sets could be made? Overpriced """dioramas""" that get scalped for minifigs, like what Marvel has become? Asian buildings that Ninajago, Monkie Kid, and the Chinese New Year sets already do very well? Lego doing mainstream anime now sucks; those shows aren't conducive to good sets. One Piece is barely a pirate theme; I'm not a pirate fan but pirate fans should be furious. Dragon Ball has slightly more potential for sets (Ginyu Force spaceship, time chamber lab, capsule vehicles), but again, that's four sets at best. If Lego wants to weeb out, they should make Ultraman sets since almost every show will have some cool science patrol vehicles/bases, and there are plenty of monsters for creature fans.

Ninjago has far outgrown the sets thanks to the cartoon. We're at the point where, instead of the cartoon being based on the sets, we've got sets based on the cartoon (those Legends sets). However, over the past few years Lego has tried and failed to do new things with Ninjago (Legacy and the "evergreen" wave), and weeb stuff sells like hotcakes despite being poor quality, so sadly Ninagjo could be less profitable than Naruto.

Well, I did it.

I just ordered Naruto, Kisame, Kakashi, Sakura and the set of Sasuke vs Itachi from playmobil.

I hope they are great, should arrive Monday, will post pics.

I wish this line didn't flop, however it was a mistake by making the figures so big, they should've been normal Playmobil size.

Update: I've decided to cancel the order. After giving it more thought, I've decided to stick with Lego for now. I'll wait and see if any Lego Naruto sets are released. My decision was influenced by considering how much the Playmobil order would cost and how many more Lego sets I could buy with that money.
