Idk man. I went to Botcon 2023 and it's really just a big ass toy robot convention with transformers as the guest/panel theme. When I went they also had a pretty good Robotech/Macross panel and presence, and a number of VAs as guests crossed over with Gundam.

The hotel was crazy with drunks playing gambling games for 3rd party robots, hotel rooms like robot rummage sales. It was great.

If it comes close to you I'd give it a strong recommend. Most of the fun was after the sales floor closed at the hotel then making or drunk buying used fanstoys in the hotel, then hungover robot purchases the next day lmao.

Solid 9/10 experience.

Honestly the NA launch doesn't seem that impressive compared to China's at the moment. It got so big there that they produced a live-action mini-series that has its own toyline, and with the 2nd one in production. Then again their agent had a decade-long headstart bringing over Miniforce toys.

Mostly I hit up science fiction conventions, that way it casts a really broad net around these interests and I can always find something interesting there. This season is a ripoff of the Brave Series, but the overall premise of the show/toys is Transformers. I see absolutely no relation to Sentai at all. Have you seen any episodes of the show?
I know Machine Robo Rescue and Mugenbine were blocked by Hasblo, so Tobot wouldn't be a stretch for them.
