Any word on the Jem line continuing? Hasbro has been reanimating old music vids from the cartoon this month on Pulse, but the 40th anniversary year is almost half over and we only got the 1 doll and the Funko Pops with very little hype. Oh and the refs on the SDCC Cold Slither box too but do Joe fans care about cross-branding like that or even about Jem? I know the brand hasn't been a thing in years but it feels like they're barely trying.

They didn't even want the license and it showed with the blatant poor quality- likewise they didn't want ponies either but Hasbro saddled them with baggage franchises just to get Transformers. They needlessly made characters lesbians and 1 got grossly fat for "diversity"(because "fat acceptance" got pushed by the food companies to sell sugar & big pharma to sell insulin, it was never about "be nice to people"). I'm just saying, they showed a gold dress Jem in Feb, why isn't so ething like that an exclusive? Perfect for collectors, but probably not gonna do well in a store. Pizzazz was shown, no word of it coming out. Does not bode well for the line. They give a MASK update eeekly but this is about the first Jem update in months.

True, we could always get a retail Synergy later without the metallic finish, and the Jerrica here has a sculpted hair piece so she could get something too, but the radio silence from this company is not helping. Plus by the time I scrape the cash, the preorders are likely sold out by then so yay for a $150+ eBay cost. Which sucks because these look infinitely better than the Integrity dolls which cost a fortune and the 80s dolls aged like milk. TLS basing in the original painted box art instead of the trashy Sunbow models really helps, too(admit it, Sunbow humans looked bad). Super7 did 2 ReAction figs, big deal. The Funko Pops line did 5 figures but got so little attention(I swear this fanbase is either quiet or does not exist). Hasbro has also been real lazy so far for the anniversary. Super7 once said they wanted to make Ultimates but with their company failing, probably not.

Its a property that could thrive with a revival but they don't try. Airing the old show on streaming isn't cutting it. "Rock is a Lady's Modesty" has huge buzz, put out a new cartoon with that quality. Hell, keep it set in the 80s, just do a new cartoon.

On that jote the modern toy industry practice of "release 1 toy & maybe we'll make more if it sells" or "1 main character & a bunch of randos per wave" burns me out. Too many lines do this then fail without getting a main roster out. Buyers are sick of not getting everyone, kniwing these lines fail, so they do not buy. Had they made all 4 Holograms it would have been better, as us I suspect some people passed because they didn't want just Jem with no indication they may or may not get more.

General "too expensive" sentiment on the price and others wondering if the line is dead due to this & lack of other retail releases. Jem sold out a few times online & did well in the stores, did Hasbro set some unrealistic sales requirement or something in the licensing though?

There need to be way more ads and all the buttons are wrong. A mid-2000s forum has way more text and a shit ton of links. And there'd be no post counter, likes, points, or any autistic stats for each user. Buttons need to be smaller too, because it was meant for mouse clicks, not fatty fingers.

Also, if you look at the software copyright, it's at least 2018 edition.

Rumors are that Loyal Subjects will have no Jem stuff at SDCC beyond the exclusive. Those 2 were in a production run when they canned the line so they're getting used as an exclusive. The "stage" is a cardboard piece akin to those shitty Transformers Studio Series box inserts. Cancellation reasons aren't certain, but some are saying Warden hates the IP that he got stuck with in the Hasbro brands deal, so he set the sales requirements on Jem so unreasonably high as to guarantee it would fail no matter how well it sold, just to have an excuse to can it.

I had to rotate & reverse the color just to see what you're going on about. Two tiny black dots and a slight smudge on the upper left of the lip? On a picture blown up far larger than the actual head of the doll so you can see the surface texture of the plastic.

I dont know how anyone can defend G3. About the only good thing about it is the body diversity. They managed to have shorter women, taller women, women with thicker hips, etc, while making the over all body shape appealing. Its a step up from G1 where most of the characters used the same body blank and was rail thin.

Other than that, G3 sucks. The clothes are uninspired on every character that isn't Cleo or limited and sold through the website.

The body design is really the only thing G3 has going for it. You have to rob rainbow high and OMG dolls for better clothes.
