How well do highly customized figures like this stand the test of time for someone who likes to pose shit a lot?

Depends on what they seal them with these days. The figure on the left was just airbrushed with some highlights and then given a matte coat. Mr Hobby Premium Topcoat (it's acrylic, can be used on any plastic) is my go-to for sealer and it's held up on my 20 year old customs thilus far. But it's hard friction of joints that you need to worry about, not handling. Make sure the customizer sands, paints, then seals the joint, like the ball of the foot joint that sits inside the door itself, or the ball of the wrist that pushes against the socket.
