Seriously, I think this zoomer might be onto somethingโ€ฆ
>can match figure with your outfit
>always have a figure handy for any cool toy photography you might think of
>can fiddle with the figure when bored
So I ask you, are you ready to embrace the pocket figure?

Idk, Iโ€™ve seen several people in the toy photography threads say they carry a figure around with them. Not usually in their pocket though, but in their bag.

Pockets aren't that reliable means of storage. Things fall out, can be accessed easily by others, etc. Also bringing a toy in public at your age? Toy collecting is already a joke

Fuck these people. Isue to be able to hunt my ROSS stores and grab all the discounted figs I wanted, but after pandemic hit, every damn schmo has been hounding every store trying get in on the figures score to post on their twitter or resell for $2 profit on ebay. Hope this action figure fad dies soon and they move one to the next thing. Funko pops aren't holding these guys down anymore. These companies need to utilize their AI and make the newest fads these influencers can latch on to so they leave my 6" figs alone.

This is just a step away from some Star Wars manchild thinking it's acceptable to carry around a lightsaber in public. Collect toys all you want, but wanting to take your toys with you like a 5 year old is actual mental retardation.

This reminds me of some dude from my college dorm building that dressed all in black and carried a lightsaber around under his black robe. Yes, he'd unironically recite the sith oath if you asked.
He was expelled after his first semester

Just consolidate them. A mixture of salt + iron dust damages normals just as much as regular sand would, and covers your bases for unnaturals.

that isn't true and you know it, there's "fashionable" nerd hobbies and then there's just being a nerd like always. Tell a zoomer you "invest in" (scalp) pokemon cards and they'll think you're cool, tell them you actually play the game and you'll get a "haha yeah..." at best. same with everything else you listed.

i would have a toy car and monster in my pocket underneath my monitor at the office while listening to my music to feel slightly more at home

I use an old purple lego slizer box as a sandwich box whenever i need to bring prepared lunch

have on occasion brought toys for photography to a spot

that's about the extent of carrying toys in public, but I don't really carry them on me out of fear of losing them
