Is the Jakks line still going? The 5” line has been amazing so far and I know we had leaks up to wave 4, but I’m pretty sure all the leaked waves are out now… hopefully the line is still alive.

It's alive. Distribution just sucks and Jakks packs way too many Barts and Homers in each case that clog shelves whenever stores do receive cases.

Waves 5 and 6 of the 5" include Edna, Troy, Ralph, Hockey Bart, Sick Homer, Grandpa, Stupid Sexy Flanders and Mr Burns. Wave 2 of 5" Premium has King Homer and Marge+Maggie.

Both are going to die unless they stop putting so many Barts in each wave. I think it was wave 3 of the 2" has 6 Bart figures in each case and only like 1 or 2 of each other character. Every store in my city just has wave 1 Homers and Barts after months and months. They aren't selling.

I’m usually a scalefag, but I’m not too bothered by these being 5 inch instead of 6. Simpsons stuff aesthetically wouldn’t fit in with other 6 inch lines anyways. Plus the way they did it, these scale perfectly with the old World of Springfield line so you can mix and match there.

It's a series kept alive by its own momentum and even that is drying up. Regardless it's being floated by millenial nostalgia and younger generations watching the golden years on Disney Plus/Hulu. I've been eyeing this series for a while. I was alive when that World of Springfield(?) series came out. I thought it was cool but never ended up buying anything. These figs are cool but they have different sizes and didn't know what to settle on. I did get the talking Krusty doll tho (not my pic). I just think it's neat cus it's sorta technically a figure from the Simpsons world instead of a figure of a Simpsons character. Kinda like how Radioactive Man comics are a real physical thing you can read. I like stuff like that. Still waiting for real Duff Beer. The cream soda Duff was ok.

Now they've rushed through all the big tentpoles at the start of the line and rather than spend a cent on new tooling they're gunning for the cheapest options they can.
