Stryfe, hands down. Best performance, ergonomics and mod potential.

tourist here, did I happen to visit your board at the wrong time or are toy weapon threads really not a thing here and you only talk about action figures and the like?

Either way I'm looking to buy Dart Zone Nexus Pro for my 10 year old niece. He has a bunch of low tier weak nerf guns from his parents. I want to be the cool uncle and the reviews/YouTube keep praising Nexus Pro as a really powerful model. Is it true?

We haven't had a good Nerf thread in a LONG time. It's a combination of the new autosage rule killing slow threads after two weeks and the simple fact that Nerf as a brand essentially just stopped existing and took the whole foam flinging community down with it. And then Coop quit.

As for giving a 10 y/o a Nexus Pro, there's a very likely chance they won't even be strong enough to prime the blaster. It's also entirely possible it could be considered dangerous for a younger kid to use because those things could *definitely* take out an eye at close range. Those things have nearly three times the power of a standard Nerf blaster, and on average use half darts which carry far more momentum and accuracy. Dartzone Nexus Pro stuff is near modder tier power in a off the shelf package but are in a very different category then most Nerf guns.

Now I'm not saying NOT to get the kid this blaster. I'm just saying make sure they can handle the damn thing before putting in their hands.

>”internet” recs some Chineseum with a lithium ion battery with a piss stream
people talk about dead internet theory but I think it’s actually everything, like all of society and culture

Ah yes, while browsing around on YouTube for reviews and such his channel consistently popped up, seems like a cool guy. It makes sense he used to be popular here before he moved on.

>here's a very likely chance they won't even be strong enough to prime the blaster
I read that it's possible to switch out the springs in that model if the primer turns out too strong.
Weaker springs that provide lower velocity surely require less strength to operate, no?

If you can throw in a weaker spring it should be easier to prime and less dangerous to use on neighborhood kids.

Which specific model you looking at btw, there's a lot of options in the Nexus Pro line and some of them are better then others.

Is there any performance improvement if you use half length darts in a stock flywheeler?

The modulus series was the last good run of Nerf. All of their new lines after have been garbage.

Dart Zone and X-shot have been releasing increasingly better products than Nerf. Dart Zone is even starting to cater towards the competitive market with more competitive guns, with higher FPS, accuracy, etc.

But do they have anything as raw and aesthetically pleasing as the Barrel Break?

I always liked this thing, wish it had been more of a rifle than a pistol. The rotating drum thing is something I wish hasbro used more

Get him a pair of goggles, or one of those superhero masks that has a nose bridge and lenses, and a case of cheap darts.

Also a tourist and the Nexus Pro I found at a thrift store is my most powerful blaster by a few orders of magnitude. Blows the Rival line out of the water. So, yeah.
