Don't follow Hasbro closely enough to have known him, but RIP. At least he was 76. Feel like I'm constantly seeing public figures/celebrities die relatively young nowadays.

This and also why did he sell his family out? The company was owned by them since 1928 and he sold it instead of choosing a successor. Why was he so consumed by greed? Was he gay? He looks like a faggot.

The Hassenfield family had a history of dying young. I wouldn't be surprised if they either wanted out or just had no viable heirs.

At a certain point it must feel like little difference.
As much as family businesses sound nice, it's basically the end goal for most of them to sell out after a certain point. More money in investing the money and staying on as a shareholder than running the day to day stuff.

I mean even if they are just the owners you bet there is more plastic and paint than DNA in their bodies
