Just for something different let's have a vent thread so that we can talk about toy adjacent things.
Things that toy reviewers do that bug me. Have whatever microphone they're using right next to their mouth/face so that I can hear ever lip smack, swallow, or snort they make, or just heavy breathing in general. Similarly if you're sick, don't make a video, nobody wants to hear someone sniffling for 10 minutes.
Also pronouncing accessories as "ah-sess-ories" not the correct "ak-sess-ories".
What ever camera they're using being left on auto-focus, so either the main review is constantly wandering in and out of focus or they have to spend extra time picking up a weapon or small accessory while holding their hand behind it saying "come on focus." Just shoot a separate shot and cut it in.

They review it for 30min instead of 10. I don't think I need that much time to learn about a figure. I was also going to say their disclaimer on "adult collectors" but I think that's to avoid videos being labeled for kids which locks the comment section

Yeah, I'm glad YouTube seemed to have calmed down with that bullshit. I remember a few toy reviewers joking about taking their channels over to Pornhub.

I wouldn't say I'm obsessed, YouTube has just supplanted television for the most part, and also there aren't really any dedicated toy shows outside of YouTube.
That said this thread isn't specifically about YouTube, it's about things adjacent to the toy hobby that are annoying. For example, the scumbag behaviour of people who return toys but put a different figure in the box, and that companies don't do anything to really prevent it. It fucks over other people that are looking for figures by screwing up quantity amounts or makes buying online a little more risky. Especially for sought after figures.

Also assortment SKUs. It makes buying some toylines online completely pointless, it also occasionally makes price matching difficult, because when you go to show staff the price, they might say "we can only price match the same item" which is obviously fair enough, but it sucks because the figure you're buying is from wave 5, but every store keeps using the wave 1 promo picture.
