I find the reaction to their sudden, inflated urge kind of funny. Lots of youtubers making 'what is a labubu' videos and some thinking blind box toys are something new. The reaction to it is more interesting than the situation itself. Pokemon is still being scalped to high heaven. The stories of scalpers for those are kind of funny because they are spending thousands of dollars on booster packs, and the odds of getting the card are still bad. It is like they are gambling their purchases on gambling products. Several of them got destroyed financially when the previous set sold bad. They will probably get hit bad with this next one too because most don't have any idea what they are even buying. It is funny and sad.
Regardless, I think Labubus are the latest Stanley Cup craze. Remember when people were buying up Stanley Cups? I think its something like that. It will be interesting to see how long this lasts.
I do feel bad about the original fans of these because their space got invaded really bad. That would be like if you were collecting this one line of figures and suddenly everyone and their mom wanted it and was scalping the hell out of it. How frustrating.
