>>11493825I would've loved to have been tempted by this one but it was out of stock. They only had TWO lab lockdown rexes, and I got the one with actual quality control conducted on it. How's the posing without flight stand? I don't have one for it, sadly.
>>11494072>It's amazing how shitty the extreme chomping rex is compared to this guy.The proportions on that one made me pass, but I did really dig the paintjob on the head at least. A total shame that it wasn't the definitive high priced rex that kids deserve to faun over.
> My only regret is mattel didn't use this body for the classic 93 rex figure. Yeah this thought sorta occurred to me, that we could've had an amazing throwback with proper proportions, attention to detail and posing that this one has. Oddly enough what triggered my 90s kid memory was the shape of the press button to active the feature was reminiscent of the dino damage hole on the kenner young rex. Still wish the ankles/toes were balled by default, but I'll take what I can get.
The best part of the lab lockdown figure (to me) is that if you stuff a piece of foam into the button you can keep the mouth agape while posing the rexy into the best scene from the movie, the lazy river big yawn nap scene. I want to make a bank of tall grasses display stand for mine to rest on so badly. An involved part of that job would be fixing the soles of the feet to not be dreadful to look at.
P.s. the push button cut out is kinda sharp if you get your thumb meat stuck between that and the mechanism. Activate the chomp feature responsibly.
