Got my Liya from the Ali. Seller kinda dicked around for a month before he shipped her, despite having it "in stock" in title, but it was all fine in the end. And they communicated pretty good.

He's looking real nice, the scale texture looks excellent. Was expecting him to just be a big, smooth skinned giant dude, so all that extra detail is a nice surprise. Will have to figure out some sort of loin cloth for him or something as the tights always looked silly. Also wanna hide them awful thigh cuts, there's better ways to do those these days instead of just cutting straight through the sculpt and it's a shame an $80 figure resorts to such a cheap method of thigh articulation.

I got a few from the first series and a couple from the second KS ordered. The later wave figures, the Jaguar and Hyenas, feel way better then the initial stuff, even though there's a lot of part reuse. The second wave stuff looks even better, with more natural looking sculpts (the first wave stuff felt a little flat) and adding soft goods. The new species they're introducing should also help flesh out the line as the birds and Lizards look great.

Haven't gotten any of their big figures yet, but the elephant dude looks tempting.

Got a complaint, Inart sends review samples to online creators before they make the stuff for public, for me it is shady, who knows how the mass produced figure will end up looking. Ogre scale is pretty much eye to eye with the Great Wolves, though the wolves will have way more bulk. I can see if I can dig out my Greatwolf to get a comparison pic, but that could be a few days. Best I can offer in the mean time is this pic showing the comparison to a standard Legions figure, which is about 6"3/4 tall.

They have a decent range of articulation, but it's more western engineering then eastern, if that makes sense. Double jointed elbows and knees, but not enough to get fully compressed flexes, ball jointed waist but Marvel Legends style ab crunch. Butterfly shoulders and universal hips with thigh swivels but no boot cut. Double jointed necks, one at the shoulder with barbell in the head. Wrists are on a swivel hinge, and the ankles are on swivel rockers.

Most of their armor comes off as well, so all that stuff is loose and doesn't really hinder motion. They're fun figures, but not exactly groundbreaking in their engineering. The newer ones look like a lot of fun though, I'm excited for my derpy bard bird.

As for the chicks, I only got the cat girl, but I'm not a fan of ape people to start with so those two didn't interest me at all.

I actually have a few of those McFarlane Marines. They are awful. Can barely move, can barely hold their weapons, some even come with two weapons but a single griping hand and one has a leg that just loves to fall off. The only thing the McFarlane version has on it's side is size, but sculpt, paint, accessories, articulation and overall play-value the Joytoy ones blow the McFarlane ones away. I like Mcfarlane's stuff, but those Marines of his, at least the first few releases, were straight awful.

Liya arrived today! Quite a nice figure. Males me think of Figma a little. That tail is so heavy though, really throws her balance. It's also a bit too heavy for that hinge.

I somehow missed that her eyes were a PERS setup. Even more personality!

The NECA Howling werewolf is awesome too, got him over the weekend. Super nice fur sculpting and paint there.

the proprietary revoltech joints those figures have you gotta watch out for. Besidea Judy and nick, ai also got the Revoltech 2015 tmnt figures and my favorite of them all, Mikey, his leg joint just snapped. When those joints snap like that, its hard to replace them. But since I treat the Judy and Nick figure carefully, they've been just fine standing on my computer table for years. Just be careful with the revoltech joints

My Shion FINALLY came in.
Pretty good overall, fortunately with none of the major issues the other anon had.
Paint apps are without issue, joints are mostly okay, left forearm is a little wiggly, and the hands are difficult to articulate cause the ball joint they connect to is hard to rotate with it so small, the biggest issue i have with the figure so far. The legs do get kinda loose at the hips if you move them in certain positions like a sitting position, but I think that's do the weird hip setup the other anon mentioned, which I think was simple to fix. Haven't done that myself though.
The tail joint is holding up pretty good, doesn't seem to move by itself as far as I can tell, though I found it difficult to articulate her body while she's connected to the stand and not have her tail joint move some, which makes her digitigrade feet move out of position frequently. Getting her standing perfectly with the feet as they should be on a digitigrade is fiddly. Really should have just bitten the bullet and given her plantigrade feet, it'd be so much easier, though now that I have her in hand, I can see why they went for it, it does look nice, and the small feet do fit the character.
Haven't messed around with switching parts out at the moment beyond putting her face plate back on and changing her ears to the folded back version (left ear doesn't fit super well).
All in all, quite happy with her. I was expecting a weak first time figure from new company based on the other anon's info and stories from others, but mine at least seems pretty damn solid.
I will say, I was a bit surprised by how small she is. I knew she was about 160mm (really 150mm without the base), but really was unprepared for how tiny she looks next to my veteran williams's lol. Mostly cause they are not just taller than her but also like 2x as wide.

Planned for December this year (fingers crossed).
I think she looks pretty good here. I think the face was changed a little from the earliest prototypes we saw last year I think it was. I can tell the nose is different, and I think perhaps the face was widened somewhat. I know some anons had mentioned they weren't happy with the discrepancy between how she looked in her artwork and the proto, I think these new pics show she's capturing that look a bit better.
I had my doubts on whether or not I would get Ranran and Olivia but, with Shion coming through for me, I'm gonna go for them both now.
Though I do note she's like 30 bucks more than Shion was when she was unveiled. Not sure where that's coming from, her accessories don't seem that much more. Maybe it's the little clothing?

Fortunately, we have Ladotoys' girls being fairly modest (Liya is a bit stacked though honestly, just not Shion levels of massive). and the Aoshima kemopla girls will give you the option of making them more normal, though you make them pretty well-endowed too.

It might look like nothing compared to other fantasy werewolf figures, but I think it fills a gap in the market . Other than the coomodel and the corvus belli ones, I don't think other werewolf figures in semi-realistic art style are close to 6 inches.

I don't know why they gave it no butterfly joints, though. Since they are asking for 40$ for this, they could have given it something that even their 25$ MLs and G.I Joes already have.

So I've been thinking: I want to get a Veteran William figure lately, but I'm not fond of his overly-feral face. Kind of wanna make a distinguished, noble wolf knight, like Blaidd.
So, I've got some options for swapping his face out in mind, and I want to know if they're compatible:

- Snail Shell Tiwaz
- The heads of the Mezco/Hasbro Classified GI Joe Timber the wolf

My questions for compatibility:

Hmm, not sure as I only have my Veteran Williams and neither of those figs (though I've been heavily interested in getting one or two Timbers as I think they would make good buddies for my werewolves).

Checking one of the heads I got for Williams, the hole looks to be exactly 5mm.
Looking at a vid of Tiwaz, it's hard to say what size his head socket is, but I noticed the way his head is arranged, the socket is on the bottom of his head whereas Williams is at the back of thehead; I could see this being a big issue as presumably at the natural neck joint tilt tiwas will be looking straight down, and Williams has only so much upwards neck joint tilt (much more down, but that's not helpful. I guess this is cause TIwaz's head is meant to sit on him just as a human's while Willims is more hunchbacked like your typical horror werewolf.
Also note Tiwaz is apparently 18cm to Williams 21cm, that could maybe be a compounding issue, but I think the socket location or possible size issue could be the deal breaker.

Looking at Timber, his head socket is in a much better position, but I doubt his would fit the ball joint for Williams' neck, though I don't know the details on that for sure, hell it might. What stuck out to me from a quick look is that neither version of him (typical gray wolf & white wolf) really fit color wise, the gray one doesn't have a match at all of the 3 Williams (brown, white, dark gray) and the white one is much whiter that the white Williams to my eye. Granted, this might not bother you, but it's worth noting.

So yeah, can't really say anything definitive due to not having either figure in question in hand, but I don't think either will work that well. That said, either of those are pretty cool, so they just be worth going for in general. I think I might end up getting Timber some time. The GI Joe classified animals are really good in general.

Joe, but...this guy looks kinda cool; he's generic enough that he can work as some kind of spectral wolfman monster (or snake man, if that cobra head is also equippable), and I could definitely make use of the two animals he comes with (which I'm guessing are supposed to be him shapeshifting? Yeah, the problem is that her shins are too long. Digitigrade animals have shorter shins and longer feet, walking on their tippy-toes, but the art for the newest girl (as well as both the art and actual toy for Shion) still give her long shins and tiny feet while still making her walk on her toes. Could be that the artist isn't as familiar with non-humanoid anatomy as they should be for this kind of project, or it could be a necessity for translating over into a toy design.
