Why does Hasbro keep dipping their toes in the thoughts of reviving this IP but never commit?
Between stuff like Unit:E, the film plans that went nowhere, and the cartoon series that got cancelled and just got leaked in its entirety, Hasbro has SOME sort of historic interest in bringing it back but can't just commit to it.

All the good shit about Micronauts was created by Marvel, who had the foresight to keep ownership of said IP.

All Hasbro has of value is Baron Karza and that's it.

Huh? Takara made quite a few figures and marvel had a decent comic series as i currently understand things. Like i was buying micro man figures from an import store in the early 2000s. Super 7 is doing a box set of some kind ive heard so i wont be suprised if hasbro licenses out the line to super 7. Id really enjoy a micro man or henshin cyborg revival.

Marvel took the toyline which had zero lore to it and no character in profiles or back stories for the toys, basically retrofitted it onto their version of the Microverse and allowed Bill Mantlo to create a ton of new comic exclusive characters (most notably Bug but also the main male and female characters) that Marvel owned the rights to and gave him free reign to create his own space opera.

Every attempt to revive Micronauts without the Mantlo elements has failed miserably because Mantlo used the toys as background noise for his own ideas. Ideas Hasbro doesn't own.
