yes but that set was too expensive considering how trash and fragile it is. probably one of the shitiest builds.
Anonymous No.11508659 [Report] >>11508662
So here's the build with armies assembled

I had to superglue quite a few figs with their weapons since so many of them had broken hands now. I sadly lost two figs that fell down and just exploded as if they were made of glass. I find it interesting how some of my oldest knights (the dull gray ones) have survived intact for almost 20 years now, while all my golden soldiers have their hands broken. Must've been a defective series.

Also I'm trying to figure out how to show you all the photos I took of the set. With so many action scenes going on I took over 10 photos here alone.

Here's a pícture that better shows the scale. The first pic has a weird view that doesn't show the true scale of the build

Someone mentioned in the previous thread that the artstyle had changed but it actually stayed consistent for the entire run except for that weird part with plasma dragons

Despite limited mobility in the figures there's still cool stuff you can do with them such as hanging them by the neck with chains. During the first series the chains were actually slimmer and made of metal because they had a nose-ring that went into the dragons so a figure could ride the dragon

>>11508670
One thing they never included in the sets was a) bow weapons and b) a battering ram. They had spear throwing siege weapons and catapults, but this piece here I improvised it as a siege tower with a ram built into it. The original ram piece was part of the castle itself.

So for the entire run, quality among figures varied a ton. At some point figures from all series at least suffered from legs wearing out but when it comes to hands and weapons, the durability goes as follows

Series 1: Valtheran - Excellent durability, Warfang - Mid to bad durability

Series 2 Krystal Wars: Draigar - Terrible durability all figures broke, Vorgan - Excellent, Vorgan - Excellent

Series 3 Iron Raiders: Iron Raiders: Good durability, suffered a lot from legs

Series 4 Elementals: N/A Only one set came out AFAIK never got it

Series 5 Fire and Ice: Fyren: Excellent durability, Ice Vorgan - Excellent

Series 6 Spell Casers: Good? Wizards were not great but it had a very limited run

Series 7 Metal Ages: Odaku - Excellent durability, New Draigar - N/A

Series 8 Battlestorm Epic: Mid? I only have one set, it came with the griffin and one of the legs is already giving out.

Around Fire and Ice is when they started to make those awful CGI movies and they made unique figures for a couple of the sets. This is also when they introduced some of the dragons seen here: >>11507891 which to me looked more like giant demon balrogs from LOTR than dragons

There was also the dragon eggs which came with smaller dragons and had a CD with a very crappy videogame but a couple of cool animations. One of them is an ad for the Fire and Ice series and it straight up copies a couple of scenes from LOTR

It’s crazy how much soul the megabloks dragon line had. I had a bunch from the very first years. I always had trouble knowing how to utilize those molded cast wall pieces. That’s my only criticism of the like. The land areas the mini figures the weapons etc all kino. Even the basic 2x4 brick is kino and looks like a stone brick. Those were fun to build with. I regret never bothering with year 2 or anything beyond it.i feel like I missed out. Unfortunately thr 2000s just had way to many cool things happening at once and I was into to many other things I guess.

Anonymous No.11514398 [Report] >>11515576
I’ve been building with some old year 1 dragons pieces and I’m having fun but I’m having trouble figuring out how to build with those wall pieces to make straight lines. You have a lot of those corner pieces and you can connect 2 of those with the T shaped wall, but this just makes half of a cube. I ended up using those pieces flat on one end shaped sort of like L, and fit the T part between it. And then this is held by those castle wall top parts to an adjoining wall. So basically my straight walls are held together at the top which I don’t like. Not very structurally sound walls. Aka they aren’t interconnected they just have a piece overlapping side by side wall pieces on the top.

My Walmart had the Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels sets. I bought the Cadillac, and it was pretty good. There were some tolerance issues, and the (optional) stickers were tricky, but aside from that I liked it. There are no diecast hubcaps like I first thought; the only diecast parts are the tag (which goes underneath the car) and the mini Hot Wheels car. I wish they included a figure; the cockpit is only compatible with Mega Hot Wheels figures -- Lego minifigures and MCX action figures are too big.

Oh okay. I'm not very familiar with medieval stuff, the only reason why I was able to guess was because I played Mount and Blade: Warband.
>The only weapons they didn't make were swords and bows
That's crazy because those are usual the first two things people think of when they think of fantasy. I wonder if it was intentional.
>>11519674
It's strange they never tried to reboot it. They did it with pro-builders--it flopped (i think) but at least they tried. I think at least one tribute set would've been a safer bet than GoT and Witcher.

The blue wizard is from the 2nd series, Krystal wars. The wizard for the blue guys who are like naval focused, they're the Norvagen

From the start they only made maces and axes as weapons. Couple of spears. They missed some of the traditional medieval stuff like battering rams even.

My mech collection is a bit modest actually. I have a couple of these VOTOMS Scopedogs, this Banished custom one I made from a couple cyclops sets and a ghost from Halo, and I count Krang as a mech. I have a few of the exosuit sets but those don't count as mechs. I want to grab a couple of those larger Battlecat sets and make a mech from that though. The rest are my lego sets, not sure what counts from that considering the Z Blob stuff has the gooey fella seeping through the whole structure. If I had the time I'd also like to build a Panther or a King Crab from Battletech

Did your guys mag warriors magnets degrade? I took mine out of our garage and there was metal powder magnetically attached to the figures and I haven’t dealt with it yet because I don’t have the energy to figure it out. Might need to replace the magnets but will need to figure how to get rid of the magnetic dust. I have to get mri’s a lot so don’t feel like fucking with magnet dust.

I had this issue also with the megabloks dragons where the hand that had the magnet had decomposed into some sort of magnet dust also. What the hell happened? Was it humidity in the garage that caused it to rust and fall apart? If I kept them inside would it not have happened? Really sucks since I love these things.
