So you knowers, filipinos or foreigners.
I've been moving around PH for more than a year and still can't find a permanent home. I'm starting to hate cities.

If I'm a good white boy, one woman, no bullshit, how's living deep in the province? As close to being self sufficient as you can.
Do neighbors gang up on you when they see you're rich? Do they leave you alone and just gossip in their homes?

I understand I can never be their friend, but do they at least tolerate you?

No that’s not what I’m asking. I do t want to get you pregnant

>yes yes give me sperms I need sperms for baby give me baby!
no that’s not what I’m saying! Shit I’m gonna cum on your tits ok?
>noooo inside do it inside!
Leg locks me and pulls me deeper.
At that point, I surrender, and blast an ocean sized load into her.
She pulls her legs up to her chest and keeps the creampie inside her. Snuggles up to me and makes happy and content girl sounds.
>I know your sperms are strong. Our baby have whitest skin and bluest eyes.

I can’t for the life of me remember her name, so I just call her Babe

Are you trying to deny that sprawling squatter slums are not a thing in Philippines? Any moderately populated town or city in this country has illegal squatter slums.

Every few months in the news there is some massive "cleanup" and minor battle of riot police vs squatters as the rich land owners finally gave enough bribes to local politicians for them to mobilize.

Every other month an illegal squatter slum burns down from burning garbage disposal getting out of control.

Cubabro: Badjaos

We've all seen those people in front of the 7/11 begging for coins. They wear colorful clothing and are usually carrying children......yes, yes, we know them as Badjaos.

Badjaos are transnational, nomadic beggars best known for following you up the street trying to sell you towels and other shit you don't want to buy. They are annoying, but their a staple of Filipino society.

Since I was in the area, I decided to visit their home base. I was curious as to where to all come from. I went to their village in Bato, Leyte. I took a little floating raft behind the Bato public market, and honestly, when I got off it felt like I was in an alternate version of the Philippines.

I never thought I would say this, but Filipinos are clean and orderly people (compared to Badjaos)

They live in these stilt houses above the water, and they piss and shit directly into the water beneath their house. Their is no plumbing, no drainage.....it's quite literally a sewer. It smelt like straight up methane gas.....I was getting a contact high just walking around, something akin to sniffing glue or paint.

It was kinda funny to see the looks on their face, as I'm sure nobody ever goes back there, especially not foreigners. Their mouths were agape, literally EVERYONE staring.

I was kinda tempted to beg them for money, but I wasn't that drunk enough to be an asshole

MereAnon here the Bajaos are part of the Sama-Badjao ethnic group. An nomadic ethnic group found across Southeast Asia.

They originally came from the Borneo, homeland of the Barito languages where they are classed under, which is also the same language used in Madagascar. According to my research Sama-Badjao are the only two non Philippine languages in the Philippines, the other being Chavacano a creole of Mexican Spanish classified under Romance languages. The Sama Badjao's origins lie in Borneo and they ended up in the Philippines as part of being mercenaries for the Sultanates of Malacca, Brunei, and Sulu. Not unlike the role the Luzones had then who were once mercenaries too.

Yeah they're disgusting but they have a unique evolutionary adaptation THO. Sama Badjau have unique spleens that allow them to stay underwater for hours on end.

Safe haven?

What fucking safe haven? Your

Philippines IS safe. I have never felt like a gun or knife was going to be pulled on me, mind you I've WALKED all throughout the Philippines in urban areas, both Cebu and Manila. Places where it's supposed to be "hood" and "many gangster"......but all I've found their is poor people

Filipinos are just beggars at best, and a bunch of sneak thief's at worst. They are so unconfrontational it's hilarious. I can walk anywhere, and nobody challenges my freedom of movement.Simply using common sense security measures is enough to thwart most Filipinos attempts. Don't carry an expensive cellphone, carry only the cash you need for the task at hand, don't advertise your everyone on social media.....that's basically it. Their not gonna stick a gun to your head and force you to the ATM machine (like they would in spicland)

spaniard here, i have 6 days holiday in january (wow) and i want to visit somewhere in eastern europe or asia
Considering several countries, ive noticed the following
>nobody speaks english in vietnam (probably a few on tourist areas and thats it)
>china may not be the most welcoming to foreigners and may jail me arbitrarily
>philippines speaks a mix of their own language with tons of english and some spanish influence, both languages that i already speak

so i was wondering if philippines is a good asian travel destination for somebody who only speaks english and spanish (and a bit of portuguese) so i can communicate with most people

i would specially want to travel somewhere other than europe so i can experience a truly distinct, completelly foreign culture, and also enjoy a completelly different type of food, as opposed to if i travelled to france or germany where the cuisine and the culture arent so drastically different

Spanish Anon!

Philippines, would be Spain's mirror except in Asia, and poorer.

Both Philippines and Spain are contact zones between Christianity and Islam and both nations are deeply Catholic.

Zamboanga is nice, Desu, they speak Chabacano, a Creole language of Mexican Spanish that's 70% Spanish in vocabulary. They have Mosques (Masjids) and Churches (Iglesias) side by side with each other.

Cubabro: Slow trek to Tacloban

Departed BadjaoTown (Bato Leyte)

Got on random bus......Davao metro shuttle headed for Sogod. 45 minute ride

Arrived to Sogod town, situated at the mouth of Sogod bay, in South Central Leyte.

Milled around town for a bit, tried to negotiate a ride north but felt they were trying to rip me off, so I started a slow trek north on foot. Reached the main north/south highway of Leyte and received a ride from trike driver which took me to the outer barangay of sogod. Proceeded on foot for 2 hours through a mountainous highway until I reached barangay Pancho Villa. Lots of roadwork was happening on this road, and there were several areas which looked effected by a landslide. At this point the fog was extremely heavy, and it was actually quite cool. Realizing that I wouldn't be able to make it to any major town on foot before sunset, I asked for a ride from a local gay boy. He drove me to Agas Agas bridge, which I proceeded to cross on foot, and continued on for another hour or so before I hailed down a tuktuk, which took me all the the way to the terminal of the town of Mahpahlag. I ate a cheap pizza under the protection of the terminal (it was pouring rain), then boarded another tuktuk along with a bunch of giggling high school girls, bound for the "crossing", or the T shaped intersection half way between BayBay town and Abuyog town.

At the crossing I was lucky enough to find an airport taxi driver from Tacloban who was headed back in the direction of Tacloban, so I got a more comfortable ride at a cheaper price. I alighted along the highway in Abuyog town in the pouring rain. Found a trike into the town proper and asked a local tambay for directions to a lodge. Found accomodation at the "habitat budget inn"......a lodging house for locals. It was a very Spartan room consisting of a bed, a desk, and an electric fan, along with a shared bathroom. Couldn't complain for 300 pesos. I took a shower, and then got drunk at 7/11.

The lodging house was family run by an elderly couple and decently maintained. They advertised monthly rates of 2500 pesos, with access to a shared kitchen. Their was a lot of young women milling around.......honestly if it was 6 years ago I might of just stayed their for a month cooking chicken adobo and hitting on all the college girls, but I had to move on.

After a few hours sleep, I woke and trekked back to the highway and got a van to Tacloban. 120 pesos. I alighted next the to the incarnate word hospital, and walked to the MCdo to use the bathroom. Grabbed a quick snack and saw a girl who honestly hypnotized me with her beauty. I snapped myself out of it, and continued on along the road, turning down Pilar street. Got another cheap room for 400 pesos and roamed around the downtown for a bit. Got a trike and we rode back and forth across the san juanico bridge (it's only 1 way?!?). Went back to the downtown and had lunch. Took a brief rest and shower, then went to the waterfront next to downtown.

Filipino food is a big part of why the people are so lazy and low-energy. Yeah it has plenty of grease and umami to please your taste buds, but nutritionally it is trash, and eating nothing but cheap food will leave your gut irritated and inflamed. Same with the sugar-laden beverages sold on the street for 10 pesos. They taste awesome at first, but after some time you begin to crave some real fruit juice.

If you're already an unhealthy person with shit habits, the Philippines isn't gonna bother you much. Live on Red Horse and lumpia, whatever.

It's just a coping mechanism. He's trying to make it seem like some super secret epic meals are out there when it's really not so great. Doing this because having something hide, even if it's bullshit, allows him to feel some parts of his life are exclusive and you can't get it.
This is bullshit because literally everyone who goes to the Philippines knows most people there are fat and bloated like pigs and they eat the garbage food that's supposedly shoveled out to foreigners just to make them fat and bloated.
Most Filipino food available looks like shit because it is shit and he's just trying to make it look like it's on purpose to spite the foreigners, despite the locals being the ones eating that shit at those places.

True but filipinos have no culture, so I don't really see that happening very much.

Rather, what filipinos think they are 'gatekeeping' is so cringe or so tacky, that no foreigner wants anything to do with it anyways or they would experience unsustainable levels of second hand embarrassment.
Anonymous No.2834774 [Report]
The only 'gatekeeping' I ever experienced in philippines were by foreign cartels either koreans or chinese, sequestering their experiences from being fucked with by white men who would probably tell on them for various activities they engaged in.

The japanese setups in ermita were very welcoming, however, maybe because they were having a big downturn in japanese tourism.

Despite the DNA tests revealing the child isn't mine, the baby mom found somebody to help her sue me anyways under some sort of "abuse to women" law.

Tl;dr I was supporting her for so long that they are going to try and say it's criminal for me to cut her off suddenly, and that I had de-facto accepted responsibility for the child as it's father, so I owe it to her to continue.

They rushed to file paperwork and even my lawyer was surprised by how speedy they had it done. They also filed a request with immigration for a hold on my visa exit approval pending the results of the case, so they are literally trying to hold me hostage in this shithole.

A few observations from a guy who’s lived in flipland for a few years.

Best to think of flips as Monkeys. Smart monkeys for sure, but still monkeys. If a monkey does something stupid - you shouldn’t get mad it. Train it correctly, and it will be capable of most menial tasks.
But sometimes a monkey needs a smack in the mouth to remind it who’s the lower primate.
Keep an olive branch (red horse) in one hand, and a sword (righteous White anger) in the other - and don’t be afraid to use either one. Being friendly goes a long way - but never let them disrespect you.

Stay way from other foreigners. I came here to fuck teenagers, just like every other white dude, but I hide my degeneracy and appear normal and well-adjusted. Most expats are not like this. They are mostly creepy and weird (losers back home) - and it makes sense to avoid them. I have a few expat friends, even a few white women. But they’re normal, working people with normal lives and family’s. Thy just happen to be in SEA for work or school or whatever. Any expat you meet here without a job, is likely a piece of shit.

Back to the monkey comparison - Filipinos are just not on our level. I certainly don’t think of my Filipena girlfriends as equals. Good lord. LMAO. At best they are helpful, brainless little retards who love to fuck and need a guiding hand to help them navigate life.
I have no reason to interact with Filipeno men, and only do so when forced into it. (Bank teller, shopping, etc).

Really, the best thing Philippines could do is become a vassel state to the USA.
White men have been colonizing and conquering these people since time immemorial. Ruling over brown jungle savages is our birthright. Things worked fine in Philippines when white people were in charge. Actually at this point, Flipland is probably too far gone - and no sane 1st world country would want to deal with a nation of 115 million regards.

Cubabro: Slow trek to Tacloban (cont)

I walked around downtown Tacloban in the evening. I had some mozzarella sticks and a margarita pitcher at the dream cafe.....decent for 600 pesos....then I went to Guissepes, which honestly looks the part of a proper Italian fine dining restaurant complete with good service, but I found the food simply "meh"....had 2 cocktails and some al dente ravioli for 1200 pesos. Stroller back to the lodge and some tricycle drivers offered me "I find you nice lady"......yea, no thanks. I called off the night in one of those Filipino karaoke bars, singing my go to song, "wonderwall". Went to the room and slept.

Woke up the next morning and proceeded to the van terminal. Had to wait 1 hour for the van to fill up, and we finally left bound for Ormoc..

I got off along the highway in Cariaga town. Got a picture of Cariaga bay.....made it from bay to bay, north to south. Headed back to the terminal and found a lone jeep bound for LEYTE, LEYTE. Had to wait an hour, and we finally took off with only me and an elderly lady for a lonely trip along the coast of Cariaga bay. Halfway through, the lady got off at an elementary school and just looked at me and pointed at her 50kg bag of rice. Somehow I was drafted onto delivering a 50kg bag of rice to some random provincial elementary school....side quest completed. We finally got to Leyte, Leyte (can't get more Leyte than that) without picking up a single passenger.

Milled around the terminal and ate some popcorn and a mango shake for 50 pesos, than got in an empty van bound for Naval city in Biliran province.

Naval.....it's actually low-key a place I could see someone wanting to stay. It's not ever talked about, it's out the way, but it's a town of decent size. They have Jollibee, they have mcdo, they have hotels, they have a department store.....and they apparently have a big university with a GANG of college girls walking around town. They come from the surrounding towns to study at the University and live in boarding houses....people ask "where's a hidden gem".....I'll spoil it for you, sorry Filipinos, it's Naval, Biliran

Anyways, I didn't stick around that long, and went to the port and brought a ticket to Maripipi island for 300 pesos.

Got on a rickety old rust backet "joselito express" for a BEAUTIFUL sunset cruise around Biliran, to the north. Arrived at nightfall to Maripipi, and was directed by a man on the boat to a local pension house "Brian Claire". He said I was the only tourist on the island....He also invited me for breakfast the next morning.

Checked into the pension house then went back to the town center, where I was called into the "provincial government satellite office" to get drunk with some local official's. Called it a night around 9pm.

Woke up around 6, and sure enough the man from the boat was there to pick me up. He took me to his beach front home and fed me Argentina corned beef and eggs. He was an educated Filipino, works for some NGO doing peacekeeping missions....honestly it was kinda weird having a conversation about geopolitics In such a remote island, but I'll take what I can get. He was a super nice guy, I just think he is used to talking to people of a certain level of intelligence, and not the very simple "villagers".

Maripipi is SUPER nice, but also SUPER boring. It's a perfect circle, with a road going along the perimeter of the island, and mountain in the middle. Theirs a beach on the north shore (pic related), and some islands of it's western coast which are picturesque but with really nothing on them.....

I was tempted to go to the deserted island, but for 1500 pesos, and considering I was by myself, I passed. It would be a nice place for a romantic getaway though.

I hiked and jogged a few hours around Maripipi....I was fucking beat with the change of elevations (I'm a fat ass, but I do attempt exercise from time to time).

I went back to pension house, ordered a pizza (literally the only food for sale om the island outside of canned goods), and fell asleep to a podcast about lost media.

Woke up at 4am and caught the sunrise cruise back to Naval. Ate breakfast then hopped in a van to Ormoc city..

Cubabro here..

The budget room I stayed at (not in Biliran , but I'm Abuyog) did have a shared kitchen.

These places are colloquially called "boarding houses" or "lodging houses". A simple private room would probably cost you 50-$100 depending on if it's fan only or aircon. These places are mostly used by students studying at local universities, or transient workers from the province. Rarely would you see a foreigner there, but I'm sure they'll welcome your money

They are absolutely not advertised on the internet.....no agoda or booking.com type site will have these listed. You have to be a real (trvller), and go to these smaller towns and simply ask around, old school, word of mouth style.

I felt like I was playing Shenmue 2 lol, hanging around a port, asking:

>Hello sir, I'm looking for the nearest 7/11

A 2 hour bus ride back into Leyte proper, and I arrived in Ormoc city. The van left me at the Robinsons mall terminal.

Ormoc is another city of decent size that doesn't really get talked about. They have a Robinsons mall, and an SM.....while not as big as their counterparts in Manila or Cebu, it's still a nice convience to have. I caught the matinee showing of the new "Tron" movie at SM and then had some ramen.

I continued on down the street, in search of some accomodation. I came across a small hotel called "Nikos ark". It was a nautical themed hotel/lodge. Room was small, but the queen sized bed took up most of it. The aircon was ice cold, so for 900 pesos I couldn't really complain.

I dropped my bag and continued on foot. It seems like most of the activity in Ormoc is centered around the port/pier. They have boats going to Cebu and other destinations, and a busy bus terminal serving destinations throughout Leyte. Also situated around this area are a few 7/11's, a department store, Mcdos, Jollibee, and a baywalk/malecon.

I just posted up at a corner bakery and got day drunk as I people watched the coming and goings around the port. After sunset, I went to Mcdos and got 2 of the new McSpicy's (I'm a mcfatass), took it to the room, smashed both of them, and then proceeded to get the best sleep ever under the ice cold aircon.

Cubabro: Backpacking tips

1. YOU DO NOT NEED THAT BIG ASS BACKPACK. I laugh when I see these doofy white trustafarians lugging around those humongous backpacks. When I travel, I travel with a backpack no larger then something you would of used to go to school......an airplane personal item..

2. 4 pairs of underwear, 4 pairs of socks, 2 pair of athletic shorts, 1 pair of chino shorts, 2 solid colored long sleeve cotton shirts, 1 polo shirt, 3 tank top undershirts, small ziplock bag of toiletries, a towel, a phone charger. That will fit in a backpack, and that backpack will not overencumber you, and will be small enough to fit into any PUV (public utility vehicle) in the Philippines.

3. Invest in a good quality sling bag. Don't go cheap, trust me. Don't worry about the brand, worry about the quality, and the utility. This a bag is gonna hold: Passport/wallet, Cellphone, power bank, sanitary wipes, sanitary alcohol, a swiss army knife/multi tool, about 5 fathoms of small rope (can be used for many things), 2 or 3 carbiners. This bag does not leave your chest, consider it an extension of your body.

4. As long as your of a normal size, you'll be able to replace your clothing as it becomes worn out.

5. Every town has a laundry service which will do your clothes for a few dollars. In liue of that, you can simply wash your clothes (because it's not much), in a bucket and air-dry them. Washing powder is like 10 pesos, and if you hang the clothes up to dry in the morning, they'll be dry by sunset in the intense Filipino heat.

6. When arriving to a new town, keep in mind that alot of information on google maps is outdated or inaccurate.....word of mouth is king here. I advise asking around at 2 places: The bus/PUV terminal/ Pier OR near the municipal buildings. The town center is colloquially called the "proper" (as in the town proper). Situated around here will usually be some government administration buildings, a park/plaza, and possibly a public wet market.

Before I leave I make sure to stock the ref with enough food.

Also, we have (really poor) neighbors whom have 5 kids which basically act as our help. My wife has 5 kids from the age of 8-14 to run and do errands for her and entertain my children....of course we occasionally feed them and give them a few pesos here and there, but The only thing she really has to do is cook dinner

Cubabro: Limasawa

Decided to take another trip since my wife was going to be celebrating dia de la muerte with her family.

Hopped in a van in badjao town bound for Maasin, Leyte. 1 hour ride, 100 pesos fare

Maasin is another city of decent size. They have a good sized supermarket that can satisfy all your earthly needs which is attached to their terminal, a Jollibee, ferry connections, a small mall. Another hidden gem? Maybe, possibly, who knows. Didn't see any foreigners under the age of 80

Anyways, I continued on by catching a Jeep to Padre burgos on the southern tip of Leyte. I made a brief detour in Padre burgos to check out their beach, Tangkaan. Beautiful white sand, blue water, not crowded and only locals cooking fish and drinking kulafu. Pic related

I proceeded back to the port and asked a gentleman in a cafe (Kyrks cafe)about the passage to Limasawa. He was kind enough to direct me to the boat, and made arrangements with some of his family on the island for me to stay with them, as Limasawa is quite small and the hotels and lodges were fully booked.

I got on a rickety old boat packed to the brim with nothing but Pinoys. Hour later, I arrive at the port of Limasawa, and some kuya calls me over and leads me to a house where I'm met by a nice family who offer me their upstairs room. It's open air, with bamboo walls, no aircon...but the toilet flushes and they have an electric fan, so I make due.

I drop my bag and head off to see where Magellan had the first coom, err, I mean, the first mass in the Philippines (WeWuzKangz) . The grounds of the shrine are actually very well maintained, with a large manicured lawn. I dropped a coin in the wishing well, rung the bell, than climbed up 450 stairs to where Magellan first planted the cross (WeWuzReallyKangz). I reached the peak at sunset, and At this moment, it dawned on me that it was Halloween. I wonder what the native indios thought when they saw me dancing around the cross blasting Mexican narco corridos on Halloween night, but whatever. Went back to the house and cooked some chicken adobo for the family, which they were amazed by..

Yea about that ....I got some really strange looks here. Like mouth agape, stares. I reckon foreigners seldom come here on the account of it being in bumfuck Egypt. Realistically it's about 8 hour away from any international airport....I've only seen Pinoys since I've been here.

But the island itself.....super beautiful. Theirs a large white sand beach, crystal clear blue water along the southeastern coast line...."dakdak beach". They have rooms available facing the ocean...I was quotes 2500 for aircon and 1500 for a fan room. They also serve food at the beach, but boy, lemme tell ya, I ordered a plate of chicken stew and I could've watched the lord of the rings trilogy about three times before the food actually came out...I'm not joking when I say it took 2 fucking hours for a simple plate of food. They didn't even have BEER. WTF kind of beach resort doesn't stock beer ...are they Muslims or some shit, idk, but whatever.

I asked a trike driver to take me to the "lagoon", and he gave me a befuddled look and pondered the question like I was asking him to decide which of his children he would like to sacrifice to Jeffery Epstein. Eventually he agrees, but only for 120 pesos (they told me it was 50)

Also, along the north coast, they have some cool rock formations where you can cliff dive. Basically, a saltwater lagoon. I jumped off the cliff into the lagoon, lost my sunglasses, lost my hair tie. Nobody on this island sells sunglasses, nobody sells hair ties, so now I'm being assualted by both the aun and my hair. Also, GODDAMN that shit is a straight 90 degree climb down the face of a cliff to the main swimming area . Good luck going back up those stairs. Entrance was 35 pesos. They don't have beer, they don't have soft drinks, they don't have food, all they have is bottled water. Bring your own shit and lug it up 90 degree cliff. It's more fun in the Philippines. Pic related.

Funny - when P. Burgos is full of people you don’t notice what a disgusting shithole it really is.
But Filling Station, while being just a regular diner, is pretty good by Filipeno standards. I’ve taken a few dates there for a post creampie meal.
