>and finally this is historic 6th street
>over there across the street you might be able to see the famed Fat Dave's Smoke Shop
>over on this side, the greenest grass you will ever see, right here on the 6th street verge, just between the road and the parking lot of the all-you-can-eat Golden Wok chinese buffet

none of the things mentioned in that song still exist. had to pave over them to make room for parking lots

but you can enjoy all the same opulence during your stay at Motel Six Amarillo

You think this is bleak, you should try Midland or Odessa. Talk about soulless corporate architecture. Roswell is pretty bad too.

Yet picrel is also in Texas

This is where I lived in Texas. An employee dorm is hardly your usual McMansion. I could've gotten my own room if I accepted an offer of an assistant manager's position, but I didn't want to tell people what to do.

What's your grudge against Amarillo, TX? There are hundreds of boring cities just like it, who cares if there's nothing to do there?

Oklahoma. Get in quick before the tourist hordes ruin it.

Yes, some cities are designed for people to actually live in, not for tourism

What's "livable" about needing to drive 1-3 hours each way every time you want to leave the house in 100F heat?

Our entire housekeeping department climbed Casa Grande (the giant butte in the background). The ascent was an arduous slog , but sliding down the steep scree slope was so much fun.

I also masturbated on top of Emory Peak while looking out over the entire Chisos Mountains, shortly after coming face to face with a sluggish rattlesnake while clambering up the steep rocks at the summit.

But go on, be ignorant and overlook Texas.

Riding drunk in the back seat of your friend's car is much more fun than riding a stupid bus.

I'm trying to keep an open mind, but you keep posting soulless landscapes. It's just my subjective opinion, but that looks hot, dry, and dusty. It's not a place I would find myself enjoying. It reminds me a lot of the scenery in Breaking Bad, albeit hillier

Wow, a western Texas city is a shithole. Very enlightening OP, thank you for contributing to this board
