The apology tour killed it more than anything. You can't build a loyal fanbase out of people who enjoy offensive comedy then keep them when you apologize for being offensive. Never apologize for anything, it's a form of cuckoldry.

it wasn't just the gay thing, they all look absolutely freakish now, I think Charlie is the only one that hasn't had plastic surgery, Kaitlin in particular is downright hard to look at, it's a good thing Rob is gay and probably has never had to have sex with that thing

Abbot Elementary show on ABC had a PG episode with the gang called Volunteers. IASIP just did a R rated version of it where the PG teachers are swearing and it wasn't funny.

First EP was atrocious. Second EP was hilarious though. The magic of cake technology.

Mac being gay didn't upset me. Coming home from a 10-hour shift at a steel mill and trying to watch a funny tv program only to see a 20-minute gay interpretive dance did upset me.

I didn't appreciate the bait-and-switch. When you're in the mood to watch a horror movie you don't want to turn it on and sit through an hour of "Luca" before you realize there's never going to be a payoff. An actual punchline at the end would have been nice.

I couldn't finish the first ep, and I didn't finish the second. Right away I predicted that Frank will be made of cake at the end, so either I'm correct and disappointed that the show was so predictable, or I'm wrong and disappointed that the show didn't deliver on what it set up. They're damned if they do, I guess, which means I think I'm just over the show. Also, Rob actually really changed his name in the credits. I don't know if he's being pretentious or is maybe just so insecure. Either way it seems incredibly sad.

No, them denouncing their more "offensive" moments in older seasons killed it. You can't make a show about being assholes, then become so preachy in real-life that you actually treat the fictional characters seriously.
