I literally outgrew all of my friends. They are all shells of their former selves, and I stopped enjoying their company. I only have my wife and dog now. People chsnge too much in their 20s and 30s, so it's impossible to have friends that don't change their entire personalities depending on their circumstances. I stopped hanging out with them when it became apparent that they weren't fun when they weren't on drugs.

That happened after I was already done hanging out with them. The meetings were already becoming more scarce, and they were integrating other people into the group I didn't like. The first sign it was over was when one guy brought his gf to hangouts with the boys like we wanted to see her. It's fine once until it happens too much. I never brought my wife to hang. When you start bringing other people, it ruins it all.

when I was in college I shared an apartment with 4 other guys in my year, every evening we'd watch a random movie after dinner (besides weekends). It started out with mostly action and comedy but as we got to become friends the selection branched out to favourite childhood films, guilty pleasures etc. Fun times.
