The moral is that even though a skilled player can beat him with even a starting character, the time it takes to wear his health down is time the player should be spending taking out gate guards and unit leaders and rescuing your own side from defeat. Yes Lu Bu is the strongest guy at the Yellow Turban Rebellion, but he's also the least relevant target on site. He can win every fight he gets in and still lose the battle, and if you let yourself be led astray by the monkey mind seeking to assert dominance, you will be as much of a loser as he is. You can always replay after gaining a few levels, anyway, rub a little Cao Pi in his wounds like a pakistani paramedic.

Never read the comics, was referencing a video game series that's older than this website. Dynasty Warriors, it was called, got a bunch of entries on the Playstation2, all covering more or less the same story, but with incrementally more characters and mechanics as the series went on. For the second through fourth one, iirc, the first level is putting down that guy named after a pump action crossbow and his scarf-clad boywhores, and Lu Bu shows up to distract the unwise player from an otherwise easy victory, but you literally just don't go where he is and it's fine. They even tell you in-game, "Do not pursue Lu Bu," which is where that meme came from, not reddit or somethingawful or any of those other fake-ass shitstains. You guys probably wouldn't like it, it's not a visual novel being played by a streamer with bright-colored hair, but back in the day, we used to fuck shit up in them games.
