It´s... It´s... It´s something i guess. Honestly everything after the first season is a mess, a mistake.

S02 is derivative, you can tell they just didn´t know what to do with half the cast. S03 kind of realizes and successfully manage to break away from that, and it would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids and your dog... no wait, it would have gotten away with it if the plot was even remotely good. It´s a very poor´s invasion of the body snatchers ripoff.

S04 was probably the best season after season 1 but retconing Eleven´s past was a bad idea and making everything related to the upside down about her and Vecna was a catastrophic mistake. Over explaining is a big mistake when it comes to horror...

Two important aspects of the the last season that detract from the mysterious cosmic horror that was the main driver of interest in the first season were Vecna being the villain and Elle being a superhero and it seems like they're just going for that again which is a shame. Elle being a fragile child with a connection to the upside down that she couldn't understand was interesting. The upside down being this strange, dark, alternate universe being connected to Hawkins was interesting. Matthew Modine's psychic school janitor vs the valedictorian is not interesting.

Not true at all. Season 4 had 4 storylines because there are too many characters, and 3 of them were almost totally pointless and didn't even take place in the main setting of the show. That's a clear indication you have too much going on.
