It's actually a very common opinion among a specific brand of fujoshi that "I'm actually a lesbian but I can't like yuri because it's too male gaze-y, which is why I like yaoi"; popular enough that it was even acknowledged in a Japanese manga. MIND YOU I wouldn't say it's meritless to notice certain differences between woman-drawn and man-drawn yuri or point out certain things that men do worse, but it's not really about the things normally stereotyped as being "for men" like "immoral" elements, "huge boobs and asses" (or "exaggeration/idealization" in general, in visuals or character), "characters looking at the camera" etc, which are all common in "fujos branching out to yuri" art, and more to do with drawing aesthetics and subtler elements of characterization.

Yeah that tends to be the how it is in a lot of the west as an actual legitimate "social construct"; but when you go into Japanese fujo territory, when a regular practice is to draw big prominent hands to get across an exaggerated tactile feeling, why would you not do the same with boobs when drawing girls.
