The more I play of this game the more I think it's too bad that I can't play multiplayer with it.

I just crafted the Napdragon bike, which is cool, but doesn't feel particularly fast, and you can warp everywhere anyway. I can't make any of the legendary stuff yet, but I've been getting some legendary events in Gino now, though 80% of them are legendary spud.

For cook and alchemist it's whatever the highest rank item you can buy materials to make 99 at a time, which should be sneaky supper and heal all
For artist the best you can do is 10 at a time with stary streetlamp.
Blacksmith has to suck it up and spam remake on your best weapon/tool.
Carpenter can make fences 10 at a time, but the best one (demon fence) takes magic ingots. I'm not sure if the next best fence is worth it or if it sucks and you do the same as blacksmith.

Rankings for universal hero skills

14. Artist - By the time you are at hero, bomb damage has fallen off as enemies and bosses have tens of thousands of health
13. Farmer - 5% status immunity is not even noticeable
12. Blacksmith - +10 damage at hero rank is hardly noticeable and only helps combat classes
11. Miner - -5% charge up time at hero is barely noticeable when you should already have nodes for - charge time in most of your tables. Applies to combat and gathering so its at least something
10. Woodcutter - same as above except +5% charge damage
9. Mercenary - applies to combat and gathering, -5% SP consumption may not be noticeable except at very late game gathering nodes
8. Alchemist - 50% chance to not use a potion is nice, but at this point you should be able to craft entire stacks of potions. Useful for conserving spraylixers, etc.
7. Tailor - +20 Def/M Def helps a bit. Can help if getting hit while in a gathering life if you never bothered upgrading your gathering/item drop armor you equip on them
6. Paladin - same as Tailor except provides an additional 100 health
5. Carpenter - only +20 but helps all crafting and gathering where +20 is sometimes enough to make a difference between great and perfect
4. Angler - +10% special charge rate benefits all lives. This is a huge buff for miner, woodcutter, and angler.
3. Cook - All of the previous buffs are outclassed by a single food item now providing even stronger buffs. Arguably number 1 if you are using food at all times, but a little lower ranked if you use food sporadically.
2. Hunter - + 10% crit chance and 20% damage together helps all combat classes immensely.
1. Magician - doubling your SP regen is amazing and ultimate comfy skill. Speeds up combat by not stopping for potions. You regen SP while in charge gathering animations and can visibly see yourself recover a chunk of SP you used for the charge attack during the animation.

Otherwise I think your tier list should raise up miner and lower alchemist. Charge up time is actually really good for both speeding up crafting and for combat classes. It's small but charging up is one of the most common things you do in the game and doing everything 5% faster adds up fast.
Alchemist isn't actually that great because:
1. By end game you can make shit tons of consumables anyways, a refund hardly matters
2. Food is generally the better consumable because it gives you buffs as well as healing you.
If you're chugging spraylixers, which might be something actually worth refunding, then you're playing wrong (Or your team mates are) in the first place.

I think slates give you a good supply as the other anon said but the alchemist passive would let you extend what you get by a lot more. You can get the two requested items without turning the quests in for both their quests, save the game, and then turn them in and if you don't get a recipe, quit to title and load again to try again since there is only a chance to get a recipe from them. Also you allegedly cannot get a recipe that way and from one of your crafters in their house on the same day.
