why do so many normies do this?

Some people somehow can't see screen tearing or don't get bothered by it.
Anonymous No.712371379 [Report]
>>712370796
I have G-sync so I have no issue.

what is this, 2011?

V-Sync: On
Anonymous No.712372145 [Report]
>have G-Sync
>normally works great
>sometimes encounter a game where I still get tearing even if I force it

some people just want to have more fps than their monitor is rated at for some stupid reason
Anonymous No.712373145 [Report] >>712373361
>>712372775
I've never understood this. With vsync off, if you cap your framerate to your monitor refresh rate and it doesn't go above, shouldn't tearing never happen?
Anonymous No.712373279 [Report]
>>712370589 (OP)
>>V-Sync: OFF
Yes
Anonymous No.712373361 [Report] >>712373582
>>712373145
it will still happen
it's about communication between gpu/cpu/mb
can't eliminate it other than sync
Anonymous No.712373461 [Report]
>>712370796
Because most people use gsync/freesync
Anonymous No.712373582 [Report]
>>712373361
Then why the fuck do framerates matter at all in relation to screen tearing if sync is all you need?

because i don't trust some shitty game made by troons to recognize my specs
Anonymous No.712374357 [Report]
>>712370796
because I LOATHE input lag and I'm more than willing to deal with the tearing as long as the game has good response
this mostly applies to FPS I guess

paint huffer with a good rig here
tell me your general settings to have on what and whats bullshit, preferably with what priority as well
usually I try to keep a minimum of 80 FPS on modern games

turning off vsync can lower latency.

Buy a VRR monitor faggot
Anonymous No.712375143 [Report]
>>712370589 (OP)
I don’t know what any of these PC settings from the last 15 years are or what they do except for motion blur and I hate that crap so I just turn off everything and set the FPS high.
Anonymous No.712375307 [Report]
Being freed from the shackles of v-sync by VRR is the greatest improvement in video game fidelity I've experienced in the last decade.
Anonymous No.712375391 [Report] >>712375738
Supposed to be vsync with gsync you niggers.
Anonymous No.712375504 [Report]
>>712374078
Just turn v-sync off.
Anonymous No.712375592 [Report]
>>712374078
To clarify: assuming you have an Nvidia graphics card, your FreeSync monitor is "G-Sync compatible" since G-Sync and FreeSync are just brand names for VRR (variable refresh rates) capability.
Anonymous No.712375681 [Report] >>712375795 >>712381305

Set a framelimit in-game or force it in your graphics card settings.

looks like the 360 version, retard. that shit ran at like 25 fps
Anonymous No.712376086 [Report]
>>712374936
vsync just introduces input lag and freesync/gsync/async makes it redundant, you need your monitor and gpu to support both (IE: GPU supporting Gsync and monitor supporting it as well)
I personally go with 180fps but any variable of 60 should be fine
