Then Deathwing isn't work talking about, limited by design and setting. Hired Gun was closer to E.Y.E. in how it handled enemies but it felt better because it didn't have the source mod issue of enemy behavior feeling like HL2 NPCs.

We all love ""you gain brouzouf" "you gain brouzouf" "you gain brouzouf" "My legs are okay" "you gain brouzouf", but what if the devs don't understand how beloved that is as a meme and for the identity of the game and decide to remove it and you don't get the message of brouzouf everytime you kill an enemy?

That's the not worst. What if they actually lean towards it? Borderlands: EYE Edition. That's my actual fear. That's pretty hype. What engine is it running on? i kind of prefer how source engine stuff looks to be honest. I don't think the atmosphere of the first game will ever be successfully transferred over to modern engines, not to mention combat and physics.

This is 100% in the EYE universe, however I wouldn't be surprised if this is set deep in the past. But I reckon, going from how Humanity/Federation were losing and being slaughtered by the Meta-streumonic forces, I reckon this game is set in the future after a collapse/extinction event. The PSI powers are really good. The squad power is great at low levels, and the clone works decently at higher levels for keeping enemies off your back. Heavy armor also helps a lot for increasing survivability at the cost of going slow. But speed doesn't matter, since you can just buy the Dragon power and telefrag across the map. We struggled for a while because the difficulty was to high that we were getting insta killed by every possible shooting, until I discovered the meta strategy of bringing a turret with me. After so many attempts we finbally did it. Glorious day

yeah, kinda cancer to do that cause you need to do lots of math to see how many wounds you need to cause yourself to put points in stats for 1 point per stat, because a bunch of research adds to your stats too and can fuck your math up (cyber implants add stats too but don't go towards the penalty level as far as I could tell)
recommending backing up ur save every now and then cause you'll realize at the end you miscalculated something and shit like hacking was off by 3-4 points from 120
pain to wait thru the line of tech that cures your wounds too
even with farm alpha it's serious grind
worth spending half an hour rolling ultra high starting stats with metastreum genes

also noticed that turning on auto xp for the first ten or so xp levels nets you SOOO much more points than the 30 you'd get with manual distribution, worth considering when you start a character
