>>712414003 (OP)If Nintendo just tightens up the grindier aspects of the game (material farming, enemy HP, item durability, etc.) and reintroduces actual dungeons the Switch Zeldas are a pretty great direction for the series. I dont dislike open world games, but I would definitely agree the games could be smaller but denser and still capture that big open adventure feeling they are going for. Its always a gamble to radically revamp a long established IP and after going back and replaying some of the older 3D Zeldas the new ones definitely are missing something.
Tears was impressive in terms of scope and the powers and ability to craft but it felt like an ultimately unnecessary flex by the developers to squeeze every last bit of technical capabilities out of BotW and not a focused game.
