All mutants were reduced to stupid troll like creatures that you can hire in C&C3. They were basically forgotten entirely by EA. They likely didn't even know they used to be human. You can tell EA never bothered playing the previous games.

Reviews whos opinion carried any weight during that era rate it as high if not higher then CnC1. on mod scene the biggest and longest surviving fan campaigns are built upon tiberian sun which usually gives insight what has lasting impact
TS development finished after firestorm as they were overly ambitious with the engine and scaled back taking what worked and refined it into RA2, arguably one of the peaks of the westwood lineup. while TS is still generally seen the superior one when it comes to atmosphere and style
>>712434284have you ever watched the speedruns? That's pretty much all you do to beat the missions as quickly as possible, it's hilarious.
>>712434465>where does this revisionism come from?NTA but some of devs didn't agree with the direction TS went, it's mentioned in some C&C3 dev interview. The funny thing is though that the original creators of C&C always wanted to do that, even C&C1 had very futuristic concept art but I guess it was too early for that then.

Music honestly was the least of the game's issues. I think that it's major flaw was that it was just kind of uninspired in terms of setting and character. The game itself played fine and the factions had rather neat mechanics, it was just that they were all kind of plain and boring. The game lacked edge that it desperately needed.

>>712427364Damn that looks nice. That kit is one of those Chinese-made ones, right? I recall seeing one online and considered buying it, but maybe later.
It is such a shame that EA shafted the Command and Conquer franchise. The setting of the tiberian timeline is especially gigakino and I wish we got more of it in a way that actually built it's story forwards rather than nuking it wholly like CnC 4 did.

There is a choise of RA models, the company offers 2 versions of the apoc, a grizzly tank (bigger than the apoc and turns into a stationary turret (?)), the Tesla tank, the Kirov and a 1/12 Tesla trooper action figure
The Kirov and Tesla trooper are lifted straight from the game, some creative liberties are taken with the tanks
Border models is the company that makes these

>>712436972If you are familiar with RTS, youโd know that itโs a very common thing for FPS, AI is either completely inept or impossible to beat cheating bastard, no middle term. RTS with balanced AI are a rarity, especially in older games.
Take Empire Earth, for example. Itโs campaigns are good, but skirmish is fucking impossible, the AI blatantly cheats non-stop, the only way to win is through wonder victory. If you edit the files to turn off AI cheating, it becomes pathetically easy to beat
>>712421212 (OP)>red alert lore>einstein goes back in time to assassinate hitler>but if it wasn't for hitler, Stalin would have attacked europe and even more destructive conflicts would have ensued>which was literally hitler's asspull justification in ww2 for invading ussr and trying to colonize itthe west can't decide whether they want to virtue signal as le big anti-fascists or literally shill nazi propaganda to portray those pesky ruskies in a worse light

>>712437378I will never understand why EA canceled that game
>>712437630AI can't budget resource for shit. So if they aren't cheating.... they as basically easy mode.
>>712437973the problem is they tend to have both infinite resources and ridiculously beefy units. It wouldn't be so bad if it was one or the other but both is dumb. C&C remaster hard mode is completely broken because of that.
>>712436972>>712437630Beyond all reason has pretty competent AI in my experience, as it actively reacts to shit you do in that game. For example, if you build fortifications it will start using artillery or rocket trucks/bots to outrange your defences, if you rely heavily on swarms of cheap units the ai will start pumping out anti-swarm stuff and so on. In team matches the AI will also reinforce it's allies fronts if they are failing and it will actively try to out tech you and out eco you if you give it breathing room.
>>712438350Stronger units is a feature of Hard mode in old school C&C games, but the thing is, the original TD did NOT have difficulty settings. It was ported back from RA on the Remaster, and no one bothered to check the balance
>>712438350>>712438607All these old games should be played on normal IMO. Changing the balance of the units is such an awful way of creating difficulty in RTS, goes against all intuition you have of the counters in C&C. I can't remember if RA2 still had it but TS definitely did.
>>712434942You can attack the enemy Harvester, and that will force the entire standing enemy army to sally out of their base to fight you, then mop up the rest. It can be quicker than building a steamroller which beats both said army, their reinforcements and their defences

>>712455330I'd rather see WoD Cain and LoK Kaine interact. Cain would try to say something cryptic and mysterious and Kaine would call him a pussy. And then Kaine would cry like a bitch about treachery and foulplay when Cain body slams him.
>>712449579>Eva and Tanya's actresses simply had topless scenes, they're not pornstars but rather D-listersI'd be kinda funny if someone posted a link to prove this HAHA

>>712445630And then you get to Yuri's Revenge and Lt. Eva claims you as hers. Much to Kari's chagrin.

>>712453254It's RA2 modded into Renegade and it's extremely slick for a fan effort: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFQo3WyjzhQ
Go download the newest version of W3DHub from their site (old versions wont work) and give it a try since you don't need Renegade involved. Easy to find full games on EU/NA servers most evenings and 24/7 if you're willing to play on the Mental Omega-inspired Chinese server
>>712459009i need to fix a bit of stuff on my PC but i will join in a few weeks. seems like this was started in 2025?
i have no idea what the other retard talked about Generals and shit
>>712459009have you played silica?
>>712453194Honestly, replaying all the games, the Westwood C&C games have good dialogue and either bad or great deliveries. Their big problem is they have no story. Nothing really sets anything up until maybe the last two missions setting up the finale, it's just a bunch of random objectives. Having no plot really hurts your memorability.
It's why Firestorm and C&C3 might be my favourite ones in writing, because they both have plots that tie each mission to each other from start to finish.
>>712459748I sometimes see people say C&C has bad cutscenes, but never post any examples. What bad deliveries do you have in mind?
>>712459950https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3AwoD3OqTg
Pick one.
>>712459950Fucker asks this as soon as i leave to do normie shit
Keep the thread alive for 3 more hours and I will give you my favourite examples
>>712460168Are you seriously trying to tell me Kane has bad deliveries?
>>712460374Yes. He commands no respect, though his character supposedly does. It feels like Asmongold with a shaved head talking to me.
>>712460478Opinion discarded, I'm sad I ever took you seriously.
Really, of all the C&C cast you diss, you pick Kane?
>>712460168looks like kino from top to bottom to me
>>712434941yeah i think somewhere in the TD material there was this really early CGI of a walker spun as "top secret material" which was supposed to be a wolferine prototype
>>712436292what I dont get is why are they just sitting on it if they are not going to do anything with it. Like the IP depreciates and loses value over time as the brand name fades. Dump it to the highest bidder and let it out to the wild

>>712436873>Listen to the sounds of your own extinction human
Today I will remind you that the mind controlled Tanya scene exists.
>>712437461he already mentioned nod is filled with turd worlders
>>712460478your soi breath is stinking through the monitor. Half of nods appeal comes from Kane actors natural charisma
>>712460478>I've got a peer reviewed study that says>hmm...>says you're a faggot
>>712462162https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jHbJE6dN4M
>>712421212 (OP)There is a very unstable sitution on the ground, that is unfolding very rapidly
>>712464139The whole soviet dieselpunk aesthetic of RA2 is so underrated
>>712431684>>712431940>GDI = NATO and the free world>Nod = MAGA, Russia, and relies on social media manipulationI can see it.
NGL, if MAGA had a leader like Kane and not the total clown in charge now, I'd follow them.
>>712436381Carter was always in the field unlike you and Sheppard, that's how he got the poisoning.
Also
You did wipe out the Obelisk of Light so Carter's convoy doesn't get destroyed, right?
>>712464943Fuck off with your bullshit TDS politics, the big boys are talking about 90's strategy games
>>712466559>TDS>90sI'm talking about an unimaginative dictator who's skin is pale walking in the shadows of actual greats like Kane and not the The Daily Show.
They really didn't recover after Colbert and Carell left.
