I don't understand why people refuse to acknowledge that Nintendo isn't a kids company anymore. I've seen so many people say the switch 2 is gonna fail because it's too expensive for kids but barely any kids bought the switch 1. Kids now are playing minecraft and fortnite on their phones. They don't play on dedicated video game consoles. It's adults buying these things. Particularly 20-40 year olds, the group with the most disposable income.

Kids were like 12% of the audience, according to Nintendo. And honestly I'd bet most of that 12% are rich kids or kids with parents that bought the console for themselves. I don't think Nintendo has anything to worry about there.

Anyway I don't feel like any of the games announced for the switch 2 were explicitly designed for kids, which is very different from the switch 1. Mario Odyssey, Yoshi's crafter World and Pokemon Let's go all felt like they were speficially meant for kids. Not just appropriate for kids, but meant mainly for them.
