There is nothing left to look forward to. Gaming is over. Gooning is the new norm.

Holding on by a thread, anon. Baldur’s Gate 3 was the last real meal we got and that was Larian, not any of the old guard. Bioware’s just a ghost wearing Mass Effect skins now, Bethesda can’t write dialogue that isn’t AI-generated-feeling, and Obsidian got swallowed by Microsoft and is stuck making diet Skyrim with Pentiment-tier budgets.

Closest thing I’m cautiously optimistic about is Avowed, but that’s probably gonna be another 7/10 and forgotten in three months. Might just go full retro and replay Arcanum or Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines for the 100th time. WRPGs are in a coma, bro.

OPs very first fault is to cling at any AAA studio, not digging through indies, just the recent gaming events have proven there are lots of games with good potential, but you have to be openminded to enjoy them getting taste for the new unknown, if you are willing to do your research even if it is jank there is soul and you can be one of the very first to wittness their continuation, thats how all the big ones started decades ago
