Yeah I wish more people played it. I got my hs crush to try it and she finished it and even sent me some other game to follow called Cronos.

Go play 2, imo better than OG and Remake.

Just pretend the series ended with 2. Its gives Isaac a much better ending than 3.

I didn't play the OG but to me 2's only superior in challenge department and having more tense gameplay moments.Everything else is ever so slightly better in Remake

I feel that RE games at least give you hope that everything could be made right, the monsters would be defeated and people saved. Dead Space was always hopeless as fuck and I could never get into. Not to say that the game is shit or anything because of this. Gameplay looks fucking solid and the sci-fi setting is incredible.

Its literally the exact same game, my dude.
I understand not liking other remakes, but Dead Space makes absolutely no sense. It could very well be called a remaster considering how little it changes or adds.

So you never tried it based on that notion?
Anonymous No.712455061 [Report]
the second one was such a downgrade in every way imaginable, have no idea what they were thinking with all the action slop

If you think about it, Chris and his justice league of survivors have been fighting Umbrella for the past 30 years and there is still outbreaks happening all over the world and new viruses being made. It doest feel like they are winning, at best just delaying the inevitable.

It's only hopeless in 3, just ignore that one

There are both good and bad things about it. The good is that the game actually properly reuses old areas with the optional side missions and new encounters in said areas. The downside (when it comes to gameplay) is that even on the hardest difficulty you will never feel low on ammo unless you're abhorrently bad. Even then, the director will adjust and throw extra ammo your way. In the OG, you had to play the hardest difficulty like ranger in the Metro games. Every shot had to matter and it made the action so much more tense
>do I spam at this enemy to avoid taking damage? Do I wait for the right shot and potentially use a heal? What are my resources looking like?
These are all things that never really rear their head in the remake. I have mixed feelings about it, but on a visual level they did a fantastic job. Still looks and feels like the Ishimura.

I watched a bunch of videos back in the day, a long time ago, like I said gameplay always felt solid, but no, never really tried it.

Yeah I think the Remake lands the action far better, but for some reason it felt a lot scarier in the OG. I think the OG had better atmosphere and audio. The Necromorphs crawling through the ducts sounded a lot more real in the OG. I'm fairly sure OG gave less ammo as well.

Definitely something that isn't organic.
It's set in dystopian.

Not true. I beat the OG on Hard and Impossible. Only the first chapter is a bit difficult when the ammo drops are still minimal and your weapons hit like a wet noodle. If you don't have the aim of a toddler (which you probably were when it came out), you can still get a surplus of everything and steamroll the rest of the game.

I want to play this but the PC version requires some EA app thing and an EA account. I'm not about to install that or make any account for a single player game.
I could play it on PS5Poor but I bet that version is super compromised due to the low spec of the console.

Are the other death animations as sexy? Might have to play 3 if they are.

Depends on what you mean by sexy, 95% of them is Isaac being dismembered and pretty much all of the death animations are ported from DS 1 and 2.

dude what the fuck is that death even
why is anything other than an infector turning him into a necromorph
where is the exothermic flesh melting reaction
why aren't his limbs turning into tendrils
why
Anonymous No.712461045 [Report]
Did I ever mention how cool necromorphs are? I like how infectors have some concentrated necrofluid that can completely hijack even living human bodies. And that the recombinant alien virus is so insanely aggressive that the heat generated from the transformation causes blood to boil, veins and skin to pop, and various body parts to split or crack.

the weapon balance is better than the original though the way necros react to stuff is different, they seem more tanky which kinda balances how good a lot of the remake weapons are but it seems like it detracts from how the game used to play as well, mixed bag - overall i think the remake is super great though despite

i have a 5950x/7900xtx/64gb ddr4/m.2 samsung 980 pro and i still get the mild stutters especially on first bootup/shader cache but it's basically playable now - also have SAM enabled in the AMD options if that matters
really wish this game had another patch to address some of that though because it really does ruin some of the nice moments in the game when a small stutter happens, my old pc would almost lock up for a few seconds which made the game unplayable
>>712460119
honestly what would you recommend if even my pc is has some minor stutters, an x3d chip??? kinda crazy if that's what's required
