gmod is old. some of its addons are ancient and you may see fragments of lost and decayed empires everywhere without realizing it.
the potential to create is very high.

Joining a server with 15 GB of mods that takes 8 hours to join. Half the models are still errors.
You get killed by a screaming Mexican child as soon as you finish loading.

I have no idea what it's like now, but joining a Phase Four server used to be something special. I doubt there's even phase four servers anymore
