I'd say /sp/ is better, but as far as video game related things are concerned, /vr/ is the better one, yes. It's a much slower board than /v/ even post Chicken Jockey, but it's still better quality wise.

What I don't get is if you're gonna have all these splinter boards, why stop before adding a /vfps/ for first-person shooters, or 3rd-person shooters, or something for action games in general? Either go all the way for every genre and delete /v/ after, or just have one /v/ board so there's the highest concentration of genuine, earnest, non-shitposters in one spot.

Last I looked at /vr/ was when the Duke Nukem Forever 2001 build leaks were out and "anons" were getting really angry about a team that wasn't them starting a project to complete the game.
