It was the most hyped I've ever been and ever will be for a video game. I was 17, obsessed with Metal Gear since the day I first got a PS1 and far less cynical than I am now so marked out for every bit of cheap fan service. I skived off college for the day and finished it in one sitting. I remember I was so fucking hyped by the fistfight at the end that I couldn't stop my hands my shaking. I will never enjoy another video game as much as I did my first playthrough of this.

MGS4 probably has one of the most overlooked vidya OSTs of all time, at least relative to how well known the game is.

It gave me a ton of guns so I spent a great deal of time in the first two(?) chapters just helping rebels fight mercenaries. Eventually Snake throws up and Liquid taunts you from beyond the grave if you murder as much as I did.

No online mode. They didn't give us MGS3 online with Vol 1. Konami are the laziest cheapest fucking scum, especially with the Fox Hunt bullshit. They'll never change. MGS3 is a remake so less than half the work, yet still scamming with no fully fledged online mode. Fuck 'em, the the remake is worthless, just watch it all on youtube instead of running through corridors in a game which is no challenge to anyone especially as most have completed it by now.

MGS equivalent of Prop Hunt effectively. People hide around using octo-camo like suit and other items like boxes, etc and other hunt them down

It's too bad Shadow Moses was filled with robots. I wanted to clear out the enemies so I could just explore the place at my leisure, but since robots respawn endlessly, it's not possible. They're also immune to Stealth Camo, so you can't even do it in NG+.
