I wonder if they composed each eshop music one by one per month, or they made a bunch and used whatever felt good for the month, I wonder if they were composed for other things, maybe they were supposed to be menu themes for mario kart or something

also unrelated but im gonna rant about the new eshop logo. I hate it. I genuinely hate the new font and everything about it. If they wanted to make it red then they could have done so without completely ruining the font. It creates unneeded desparency between the my nintendo store and the eshop.

regarding your second sentence, I think they just composed whenever they could, since the theme didn't really update monthly. It was every few months.

The masterminds behind the designs behind these menus are working on other things unfortunately. The people who designed the wii u menu went on to make splatoon, and one of the lead devs on splatoon is working on the nso playtest thing known internally as rockstock, which is probably the last thing that reeks of wii u soul at nintendo.

I 100% it yesterday, everybody who complains about this cannot do dodge the spikes master level.
