>>712509382If you want my two cents I say it's a game heavily dependent on your investment in how cool or appealing the game is because it can be steep. At the same time you can do alright with pretty straightforward footsies--it really depends. I can't speak as too much of an expert but tier disparity is pretty nuts and there's also which characters are hard and which are Sagat. But for all it's worth, it's an extremely Capcom-ified way that they've implemented all the SNK mechanics. Hops are limited, there's only the Fatal Fury-style short hops and no hyper, runs vary greatly, and it overall feels way more stiff and precise in a very Capcom way as opposed to how fluid an SNK game feels. But for all intents and purposes to start you can probably just pick C-groove and play it like Alpha and do alright.
