The PC community for these games is quite horrid. Cheaters, tryhards, and invaders who invade and then run away.
Was crazy playing remastered on console (have every other game on pc including prepare to die edition) and not running into any of that at all.

Last time I tried co op in DS3, the cheating was so out of hand we gave up entirely on our playthrough and didn't even finish it. Single player you can, of course, just go offline.
I've never run into a cheater in DS2 though.
