Most of them almost forgot their root and they don't even care the core spirituality, while just immitating the superficial asthetics (e.g., how a traditional Japanese gardon should look). Do they have to blame the Americans? I don't know, but they surely did destroy some huge part of the core spirit. It's ironic that the Americans the destroyers have a strange fascination over Japanese (and they always have had the same fascination over European culture) culture now.
