I haven't played it, but it has a talk show host in it. That is enough to say no.
I bought it, and may like it, but due to it's caveat it should not be preserved.

I like the Mama model, and the sex dill lioks good, Margaret Qualley, in The Leftovers. I saw her as the model from that (game) first.

Self preservation may be worth not playing it.

And from previews to release it has been severely downgraded. Another bad mark.

See for yourself and report back. Or play The Division or Returnal instead. Both good games that take themselves seriously. And have shooting, which is probably preferable to avoiding falling over.

it was one of the only games i bought in the past 4 years that i think is fully worth the price. i got 150 hrs of entertainment out of it. completed all the clients with full star ratings. built a full network of ziplines and EV charging stations. went mountaineering with a truck.

unironically one of the most unique AAA experiences you're going to have. it's like a weird mix of MMO grinding and slow contemplative burn.

I gave it a shot. Put about 10 hours into it and got to chapter 3. But don't know if I can recommend it. If the walking back and forth isn't your cup of tea then you won't like it. It's creative so I'll give it that but at its core, it's walking between places with the occasional stealth segment. Maybe the game really opens up after this but idk

A big part of the gameplay's appeal is opportunity to S-rank deliveries. So if you're the type of person who brute forces missions and doesn't care if you hand in packages at 10% condition, the game will be nothing more than a walking simulator.

If you do care about the condition of all your cargo, you will find the game a lot more engaging. You are going to put more thought into the delivery routes you take, which obstacles you are likely going to face (Bandits, Ghosts, ravines) and which tools you have to bring with you (ladders, ropes, guns).

The story is peak Kojima so you either are onboard with this or not.

>UCBA? You mean United Cucks of Black America?

Anonymous No.712520198 [Report]
it's not. you think there's something there after the first 8 hours but there isn't. there is no great pay off with the story, there is no 2deep4u element to the gameplay. in fact it only gets worse once you come to the terrible realization that not even the boss fights will be interesting. they're arguably the most brainless part of an already brainless experience.

do not fall for the trick that other anons have lied to themselves with regards to this game. there is no great reward. there is a very good reason this game has never once been discussed at length for its characters and story outside of memes and coomer bait from the fem cast for almost six years now.

if you're going to spend chump change on it fine, but i beg you don't waste over a day of your life playing this piece of shit like i did.

it's a UPS/FedEx simulator. Probably FedEx because lmao ol sammy here ain't getting no pension, hell he ain't even getting paid, just likes and thank (you)s. basically you deliver packages all around the map, sometimes you have to deliver through hostile territory. you'll fight either ghosts or rejects from MGSV's checkpoints. since this is a post apocalyptic game, you won't have no DOT up your asshole, but that means you also have to be the DOT and provide materials to build and maintain the road system. once you do that, you've pretty much reached end game.

the story is whacky ass kojima tier writing and in all honestly it's not bad despite how much of a crackpot he is. the world would be a more boring place without kojima, that's for sure.

Depends. It's either one of the best games you'll play or a mediocre nonsense. For me it's the former. Very unique, one of a kind experience. Calling it a walking sim would be correct, but an actual walking sim, not like press up to move forward. You have to balance yourself, solve natural obstacles, fight monsters, strategize your cargo and your path, a lot of mechanics are not explained and the game trusts you to discover them. If you ever stop in a video game to watch sunset or whatever, this one might be for you. It's atmospheric, and the gameplay creates memorable moments. I wouldn't be ashamed to have it in my 3x3.

Yes, but it's boring and slow.
Should've got it for free when Timmy gave it away.

it's worth 15$ for the initial novelty of the gameplay and the world, absolutely. the story stuff never clicked for me though so I kind of fell out of it at the midpoint. when you have somewhat bland gameplay by design there's need to be a carrot at the end of it.

I'll always respect it for being a big budget game that took a genuine risk with unconventional gameplay, doesn't mean I actually want to play it though.
