>>712518292 (OP)It's helpful if you want to play multiplayer games with other people who also have GamePass. I dislike the lack of ownership too, but when you have a group of people across PC and Xbox, and you want to play games together, being able to say "hey, this is on GamePass, let's all download it" simplifies things. For example, one guy I play with wanted everyone to buy Monhun Wilds, but it's very expensive between three people (and a casual low performance mess), so we just didn't and found a handful of games to play on GamePass instead. Even with 2.5 months of subbing, with the dollar deal and some sub time after, that's maybe $25 compared to the $80 or whatever it is on Monster Hunter, and that's not even accounting for the upcoming DLC expansion. Maybe there would be some deals for the game, but my point stands.
It also comes with a few small benefits. I have gotten two packs included for The Finals so far (so two free bits of premium currency equaling around $10 worth and two full outfits). Then there are also single-player games I could play hassle-free (Stalker 2 and some single-player RPGs I don't want to buy). The only thing I don't like is that my life is somewhat hectic, which makes it hard to sit down and play many single-player titles like that.
>tldr: you make it worth it or not, not Microsoft.
