I saved all the prisoners in that bullshit area of BG3 where you have infinitely respawning enemies and a time limit.

You mean Iron Throne and I can do it on the hardest difficulty (it has the least number of turns). The trick is to make sure your whole team has Haste. That way, they can dash twice or dash and free a prisoner.

It caught me offguard and i was going to look up a guide rather than abandon all but the Duke but then the enemy AI pathing bugged out and they kept trying to attack-open a sealed door far away from the real action to attack the player i kept at the exit.

It's the only fight in the game with a time limit so it's a big surprise the first time you do it. I remember the first time I did it, I had like one turn left but me and Shadowheart were still in the soon to explode area, so I threw her toward the ladder. I've never seen what happens if you don't make it in time.
