>>18463041Why do these mocap people move in such a weird way? Like they were sped up and suddenly slow motioned. And all of it is done in a really robotic way. Why can't they give natural movements to characters? What the fuck is the point of using motion capture if you're going to move in the same robotic way regular hand animated characters move?
Her tight cunt. My BWC. Do the math.

Dreamworks and it consequences
Mocap for video games today is like sampling audio for instruments was in 1993, you’re not capturing enough unique data for the amount of it the user sees and the end result is always uncanny because real humans don’t do things the same way every fucking time for 45 hours and everyone can tell.
It worked for movies because movies are just capturing a single performance, that performance is not broken out into modular parts that are reused.
Just take a run loop. How many unique cycles of run loop do you think you’d have to do before the user stopped recognizing that they were repeating? It can take close to a dozen round-robin “footstep” sound effects to eliminate obvious patterns from emerging when they’re played over and over, and humans are way more sensitive to visual subtleties than audio ones. But is anyone using round-robin run looping?
We use mocap wrong, and that’s why it fails the realism test.
>>712529684Same here. I can't pinpoint what it is exactly.
>>712528667 (OP)You do realise mocap actors have mocap directors telling them what to do and their job is just to perform as instructed, right? They move this way because the studio wants them to.

Good motion capture with human movement:
>>712530125Dogshit motion capture with jarring, cringe, subhuman anime movement.
