You need to have a strong tolerance for almost everyone, and I mean literally almost everyone being in some way utterly reprehensible and a psycopath. A character doesn't kill an innocent grandma he suspects figured out he was a cultivator, a grandma that only helped that character prior to that, and that automatically makes him one of the most morally sound characters in the story. That same character slaughtered what remained of his clan a few chapters prior.

It's very good but it's not chinese coded, it's based on western mysticism and victorian era spooky eldritch cults. The "cultivation" system is very very interesting and unique.
